Come kick off the new school year! Family members encouraged to attend. Please bring one dessert per family.

Note: this is the same evening as the Back to School Bash for athletes. Attend that at 6 get a hot dog and then head over for a quick informational meeting and dessert with us at 7!

If you can make homemade ice cream, please let me know! I need 6 volunteers.

The 2026 MO State Fair has come to an end. Our members were busy exhibiting livestock and projects in the FFA building and working in the Children’s Barnyard.

Highlights of the fair…

🏆Josiah exhibited the grand champion winter squash in the FFA Bldg.

🏆Rayleigh Birdwell exhibited the reserve champion misc. plants with her Indian corn.

🏆Elyse Cooley exhibited the champion overall Duroc barrow in the junior show and was the champion overall purebred barrow in the open show.

🏆Our “wall of fame” highlighting the national poultry team received reserve champion.

🏆Elyse and Jeremiah participated in the No Limits Pig Show. Elyse read a book to fair-goer kids at Barts Barnyard.

🏆Mallory Reed received first runner up in the queen contest, placing first in the speech division.

🏆Elliott Cooley exhibited the reserve champion light cross barrow in the junior show and the open show. His trailer also held all the champion and reserve champion exhibits in the FFA bldg.

🏆Josiah, Brayden, Elyse, and Joe all brought animals to display in the children’s barnyard.

🏆We had 30 kids work the barnyard throughout the fair and every single one of them showed up for their shift and worked hard! Trinity gets the award for working the most. She had 7 shifts!

🏆Other exhibitors either with animals or projects in the FFA bldg. were Maggie, Kiley, Nevaeh, Brayden, and Kate.

The MO State Fair is here! Thirty projects were checked in at the fair, including a “Wall of Fame” display highlighting our national poultry team. Several members helped set up the Children’s Barnyard this morning and over 35 members have signed up to help manage the barnyard throughout the fair. Go check the projects and wall of fame out in the FFA Building and come see us at the Children’s Barnyard.

Today, we were in the trees. For some it was fun and exhilarating. For others it was a challenge in physical and mental toughness. The Treetop Adventure at GoApe in Kansas City is always a great outing for an officer retreat. We encouraged and cheered on one another as we completed the stations, worked up an appetite and ate lunch together, and then returned to school to set goals for the upcoming school year and plan out our year. Thank you Mrs. Donaldson for going along!

We soaked up some sun today on a 7-mile float down the Niangua River. Fun was had by all! Thank you Mr. Rollins for going with us. There was a couple from South Carolina that floated along with us and at the end the lady told me that she was very impressed with how fun and well-behaved the kids were. Thank you parents for raising such great kids!

Very proud of our Green Ridge FFA members who were represented at the Pettis County Junior Livestock Show. They work hard all year long with their animals and exhibit them with confidence and determination.
