The mission of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Services of the United States, eligible family members, and survivors when in need; and to receive and manage funds to administer these programs. Team Great Lakes is here to help active duty and retired Sailors, Marines, and their families get through difficult times. Our services are free and confidential, and our compassionate staff understands the unique challenges of military life. Non-Financial Services offered include our Visiting Nurse Program and Budget for Baby Workshop.

Military families do a lot of things behind the scenes. They handle the moves, the goodbyes, the new beginnings, and all the everyday moments in between.

This Military Family Month, we’re celebrating the Marines, Sailors, and their families who make our community stronger. We’re proud to be here for you, through the big moments and the hard ones, too.

Today, we’re thinking about the Marines and Sailors who are serving far from home—and the families holding things together while they’re away.

Deployment can mean missed birthdays, long-distance bedtime stories, and a whole lot of “I wish you were here.”

To every deployed Marine and Sailor, and every family member supporting them from home: We see you, we’re grateful for you, and we’re here for you.
