Montana is at the Creative West Arts Policy Exchange & Stakeholder Gathering this week!
These last couple of days have been packed with sessions and conversations around elevating the arts and arts advocacy in the west. We are excited to have a great MT presence here with Emily Wolfram (MPAC), John Zirkle (Warren Miller Performing Arts Center, CW Trustee), and Kristin Burgoyne (Montana Arts Council). It's been inspiring to spend this time learning from excellent speakers and facilitators alongside our colleagues from the 16 western states and jurisdictions. We've learned so much and we look forward to sharing more soon!

Thinking about coming to this year's MPAC conference? 🎭✨
Attending a major industry event is a big step for your career or organization, and we want to help make it as accessible as possible. For our Montana-based individuals and organizatoins, the Montana Arts Council (MAC) offers a Strategic Investment Grant (SIG). This grant is specifically designed to support professional development and market expansion—making it the perfect resource to help cover your travel and registration costs for the Helena conference this October.

📍 Apply for your Montana SIG grant here: https://art.mt.gov/sig

If you're joining us from outside of Montana, don't worry! Most state arts agencies across the country offer similar professional development or travel grants to help individual artists and nonprofit leaders attend regional industry gatherings like ours.
We encourage you to reach out to your home state's agency early to explore their funding cycles!
