Thanks to a collaboration between Wells Fargo and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, NeighborWorks Montana received $685,952 through the Member Impact Fund to support homebuyer education and counseling across Montana.

Through our partner network, these resources are available to residents within their communities and virtually for rural neighbors across the state. We are so grateful for the partnerships that make our work possible!

Happy 8th Anniversary, Morning Star!

It has been an exciting year for the Morning Star community in Kalispell!

A major milestone was the groundbreaking of the community’s water and sewer infrastructure project in April 2026. Backed by more than $2.3 million in grant funding, this transformative project will strengthen the community for years to come.

Morning Star also continued investing in leadership development, with members participating in Disaster Preparedness and Conflict Resolution Training. The community also came together for a successful Annual Membership Meeting to celebrate accomplishments, discuss important issues, and look ahead to the future.

As construction continues, Morning Star looks forward to completing this important project and pursuing future community improvements.

Congratulations to the Morning Star board, members, and residents on another year of dedication, leadership, and progress!

The FDIC is hosting a free virtual Community Development Workshop on June 11 from 12:30–2:00 p.m. focused on Equity Equivalent Investments (EQ2) and supporting nonprofit CDFIs.

Congratulations, 2026 Housing Champion Award recipients! Representatives from Commerce and NeighborWorks Montana presented the awards today during the annual Housing Partnership Conference at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.

🏆Exemplary Public Service: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Region 8 Public and Indian Housing team.

🏆Lifetime Achievement Award: Ruth Burke, District XI Human Resource Council-Missoula (retired).
