The Central MT Nurse Honor Guard was honored to pay tribute to Sherri Jerrell, LPN. Sherri graduated in 1968 from the NMC practical nursing program then spent the majority of her nursing career at Choteau County Hospital now called Benefis Missouri River Medical Center in Fort Benton, MT. Sherri was a caregiver through and through in both her professional as well as personal life. She excelled in her care of the nursing home patients and met their needs with her sweet, gentle way. While she is no longer present, Sherri’s inspiration endures through every patient she helped, every coworker she inspired and every loved one she cared for. Her impact will never be forgotten. Nurse Honor guards paying tribute were Dar Gifford, Lori Durocher, Marlene Lund and Lindy Eberl.

Today we were privileged to present a ceremonial tribute to Zona Harris, RN. Zona graduated from Northern Montana College with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1973. She served a long and dedicated career at Mineral County Hospital in Superior, MT serving in many roles and ultimately becoming the Director of Nursing. After retiring and moving to Great Falls to be closer to her family, she became a pre/post operative recovery room nurse at Central Montana Surgery Center until retiring in 2009.
Zona was a caregiver through and through in her professional as well as personal life. She was steady, capable, dependable, and always willing to jump in wherever she was needed. She always had your back, and could make tough days better with her wit, humor, and friendship. May you find eternal peace as we honor your remarkable life and release you from your nursing duties. Well done Zona, well done.💕

We were honored to pay tribute today to Loretta “Lori” Tacke at her funeral mass. A graduate of Montana State nursing school in 1959, Loretta‘s career as a registered Nurse took her through the halls of hospitals and nursing homes in Great Falls and Fort Benton. Her passion for the profession extended into education where she shared her expertise as a CNA instructor, mentoring the next generation of caregivers. Lori completed her final chapter in nursing retiring at age 79. She was deeply passionate about caring for the elderly, treating everyone with kindness, patience, and dignity. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forward the compassion she’s so effortlessly demonstrated.
Honor Guard’s paying tribute today include Vicki Robinson, Marlene Lund, Audrey Goyette, Cheryl Hackett and Rocky Neyland.

Central Montana nurse Honor Guard was privileged to pay tribute today to Julie Heck, LPN. Julie retired from nursing in 2019 after 48 years of sharing her expertise as an LPN working primarily at the Great Falls Clinic in the pediatric department. Thank you, Julie for all you have contributed in your nursing career. Honor Guard Nurse members paying tribute today included Audrey Goyette, Marlene Lund, Sandee Christensen, Vicki Robinson, Lorri Forder, and Laurie Glover.
