Things are going to be a bit different for a while. We are still taking food donations only. Due to the heat and revamping things up. We have to keep the food out of the hot sun. We sadly can't have a tarp up or tent for shade.

We don't want to shut down and not be able to help Grantsville. If you're in need of food. Simply send us a message and we can have a bag ready for pickup. The last thing we want is to have anyone get sick though from the heat and food sitting out. So the safest option is keeping it in a controlled environment.

I'll do my best to fill orders, even if it's late at night. I'll get a bag ready for you. We are donation based, so it's all dependent upon availability. We have a decent amount of canned food available.

Donation drop off will need to be scheduled in advance. So we can ensure the food isn't sitting outside in the sun.

We had to take down the white shelf sadly. However, if there is a need for other items. If my family has it. I'm always willing to give what we have to help. When we can.

If you would like to donate pantry staple items, baby items, or personal hygiene products to help out fellow residents. We can add them to the inventory for pick up for others. Simply message us to schedule a time to drop off.

If you need food. Please message us. No judgement, no paperwork, no requirements, just someone who cares and wants to help will be there to hand you some food.

The porch itself is being used for family. Please don't take anything off the porch.

If you have a need. We'll do our best best to help.

Monday June 1st the white shelf outside the porch area will have some free kids toys. As well as some nice sheets and pillow cases.
If anyone is in need of clothes. I'm getting rid of a ton. They will be bagged up. According to size.

Woman's large and xlarge
Men's 3xl some bigger.
Toddler clothes girls various sizes. These I'd like gone asap. I'll post them as I have them ready. If you want free clothes. Comment or message. I'll go in order. They won't be outside, due to the weather. I can place them out for pickup.

I'll also have various other items I'll post as the week goes on.

If you want any rehab plants. That hate me, but might like you. Let me know. I have some that need a new home.

Just a friendly reminder the porch itself is closed. The bikes are family bikes. ❤️

I also have two keyboards 🎹 if anyone would like one. Let me know.

I don't have pictures of anything right now. I'm just purging everything.

🍞🥫 The food cabinet is getting low. If anyone would like to help keep that going. Anything would be appreciated. You can simply add it to the cabinet or leave on the stairs and we can add it.

Sorry, I have been MIA lately. We are still open. The pantry and white shelf outside. we have just been preoccupied with our family and some medical stuff. If I haven't replied back to you. Please forgive me.

Some of the common questions we get asked is about donating.

We accept all food items. Even if it's past the best buy date. It's still technically good. You'd be surprised what others are in need of and come by for.

We accept donations anytime day or night. You can simply leave them on the steps. Or if it's food you can stock the cabinet. Or leave it on the porch if it needs to be kept out of the sun.

We also take small amounts of kids toys, books, household stuff, hygiene products, diapers, baby stuff.

All donation can be placed next to the steps.

We try to rotate stock often. Life has been kinda hectic.

we are still here if anyone needs us.

💟 To our amazing community.

Words may never be enough to express tor gratitude of all the kind hearted individuals who have helped us keep the Porch of Hope alive. You are the true heartbeat of our mission.

❤️ We have had a steady flow of visitors and food drop offs. We really need help refreshing the community cabinet to continue helping those who may otherwise go without.

Any, no matter how big or small truly makes a difference.

We truly appreciate all of you. If you have any questions. Please reach out anytime.

Gently reminder the main porch is closed temporarily. We are in the process of trying to redo everything to keep the food safe for the warmer weather.

We love to promote and shoot out local businesses and amazing people.

It's coming up on that time of year where many are getting married.

My husband and I are going to be renewing our vows soon

Steve Martinez is an amazing wedding officiant. Very affordable. His words alone during our ceremony was incredibly heartfelt. His wife is the sweetest.

I tagged him here. If anyone is getting hitched and needs a phenomenal officiant.

We had a few non food donations come in today. I have more stuff out and more going out.

This weather. 😆 It's like garden weather, then pray for your garden weather.

We could really use help with more food donations. We have had a steady flow. If anyone would like to help. That would be much appreciated.

I'll try to get out this evening and restock as much non food items and take pictures as we can.

The last few days our 2 year old has been in and out of the Er for an allergy to amoxicillin.

Lastly, if anyone knows or someone who could help us swap out the O2 sensor. We try to help everyone with requests. Our car is struggling. If someone can quote us a price and come by. 🫪🙏

We still have plenty of Mother's day and other items to pick from.

The community cabinet has been restocked. Thank you so much to whomever helped. Means more than you know. 🙏

Most All off the Mother's stuff I put out has been picked. I'll keep an eye out for more stuff to add back. If anyone would like to help. Donations are always accepted.

Equally if you'd like to help.

Food donation help keep families in our community with something when they could otherwise have nothing.

Diapers helps little ones.

Hygiene products help someone with self care. Which is huge when you're struggling.

Kids toys help little ones have something to play with.

School supplies can be the difference between a kid starting school with confidence and items they need to succeed.

Everyday items just help when life changes or just as a pick me up.

Let your clutter or unused items be the reason someone else feels seen.

🤍 Porch of Hope 🤍
This week I put out some Mother’s Day items and a few essentials, just trying to make sure there’s something here for anyone who might need it 💐 I'd love help filling the space up. So, others feel seen and love when they may not feel that way otherwise.

I’ve seen so many kind, quiet moments happen through this space, and I’m really grateful for that.

Right now, we’re a little low on food, and I’d love help restocking so we can keep this going for everyone.
If you’re able to contribute, we could use:
– canned food
– pasta / rice
– easy meals & snacks
Thank you for being part of something that helps people feel seen 🤍

Drop off by the stairs anytime. Or feel free to add items to the shelves.

There is also some toys and clothes out. In hopes that they help.

Some items out.
Hummingbird feeder
Shelf
Perfume
Hair straightener
Craft stuff
Nail stuff
Nail polish
Etc.

Items change often. So, I can't guarantee things. I do try my best to keep stuff going. Just been hard with the rain.

I'd love help keeping things flowing. The cupboard and food. Of the porch had touched your heart in anyway. We'd love help.

Tuesday seems to be the safest day to open the new community area.

There will be section to each area. A kids shelf, baby and personal item shelf and our main rotating shelf.

Tuesday the main shelf will be stocked with free Mother's day gifts. The kids shelf will be open. If your kiddo is in need of something check that out. Plus the other shelf.

We'll have some new in box dolls out. Lots of cute stuff.

As always our community food cabinet it available 24/7

If you would like to help.

Donation we could greatly use.

Hygiene products:
Deodorant
Toothbrushes
Shampoo and conditioner

Baby items:
Formula
Diapers
Wipes
Baby bath
Lotion

Kid items:
Gently used toys
School supplies
Games
Craft stuff
Etc

Main shelf:
Anything someone could use when times are hard.

The goal and purpose. Is to help people gain access to resources and items that often are harder to come by. Something simply like a decoration when starting over can make a world of difference. Or having a fresh shower. Self care is huge for mental health.

Food:

We are always taking in food to help keep the porch going. If anyone has anything they don't need. We'll gladly add it to the community space.

A few pictures of some of the dolls we got in that will go out for those who need a smile. We have a few more dolls as well not pictured. Here is a small sneak peak.

I recall during Christmas time something interesting that occurred. I had some porcialen dolls out along side some play dolls. I found it heartfelt that little girls went for the grown up porcialen dolls first. One little girl in particular stood out in my mind. She was maybe 5 or 6. Shy, with the sweetest soul. She grabbed a porcialen doll and held that thing with the most gentle embrace.

Another little girl noted that she wanted to place one on her dresser.

Dolls have a fondness for me. A reminder of a bond I shared with my late grandma. If I can find ways to keep that sweet innocence going. That makes me so happy.

We are stock piling some fun stuff to add to our free porch shop.

As always if you'd like to donate food, personal care items, etc. we would love to pass them on.
