What a cool opportunity for Johnson County kids!
🍽️ WHY DOES ETIQUETTE MATTER?
Because first impressions happen fast—and confidence can make all the difference.
For today’s teens, etiquette is about so much more than knowing which fork to use. It’s knowing how to walk into a room, introduce yourself, join a conversation, interact with adults, navigate a formal meal, and represent yourself with confidence.
Those skills matter when you're sitting across the table at a:
🎓 Scholarship dinner or interview
🤝 Sponsor event
🏆 Awards banquet
🏫 College function
💼 Employer dinner
🌟 Leadership or community event
The Johnson County Teen Etiquette Workshop (which includes a 4-Course luncheon) gives 8th–12th grade 4-H and FFA members the opportunity to learn AND practice these skills in a fun, welcoming environment.
Students will practice dining etiquette, conversation skills, introductions, active listening, professional presence and the little courtesies that can make a BIG impression.
Because good etiquette isn't about being fancy.
It's about showing respect, building confidence and being prepared when opportunity puts you at the table.
