Our November meeting was a hit 🎉

We learned about branding and ear tagging for identifying our herd then decorated an ear tag to take home. Next we went over different ingredients that are in our animals feed, some of the different items our mentors use and why. We then got to mix up our own ration of reindeer food. Third we went over the importance of keeping a clean pen and finished up with our pooper scooper races.

Afterwards we surprised our mentees with a gift from E Barr Feeds, INC. They each received a bucket, brush, and bottle of shampoo to help get their calves ready for our stock show in March.

The best part was getting each kid to trace their hand and sign our banner to show our love and support for our fellow showman, Dyson 🧡 We also handed out some orange ribbon to be tied on to our animal pens to remind us of him, the fight he is in, and to say a prayer that he will be healed and back with us soon.

Would also like to give a shout out to the mentors that couldn’t be there because they were getting inducted to the National Honor Society!!

Dyson joined our bucket calf program last year and signed up again this year. He missed our first meeting and instead got diagnosed with Pre B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Over the last month he has gone through so much and still has a big fight ahead of him. We especially hope to see him in the show ring with us again!

Today they are having a BBQ plate sale and Bake sale at East Side Baptist Church at 701 Seydler Street from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Come out and help support this warrior and great family! 🧡 Dyson Strong 🧡
