The Pops Orchestra at UCSB is a student run organization within the University of California-Santa Barbara under the Office of Student Life that strives to Build Community in Music through a fun and exciting concert program each quarter available to majors and non-majors alike. We accept any musician of any skill level or instrument and tailor all of our pieces to the level of the group, creating
rehearsals that are fun and accessible, and producing 3 quality concerts each year. We perform custom arrangements of music from movies, video-games, musicals, TV shows, rock and pop, and more! Each concert's program is centered around a theme that allows us to make a creative and cohesive concert. Past themes have included "colors", "animals", "space", and "oceans", among many others. We are always excited to present new themes to our members and audiences each quarter! The Pops Orchestra at UCSB rehearses every Sunday, from 1:00-4:00pm in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall at UCSB, and our concerts are sponsored by, and take place in, The Hub at UCSB. We are also proud to have worked with the UCSB Jazz Ensemble, who have opened for several of our concerts. If you are a student at UCSB interested in joining, please email us for more information!
