On November 8, Goleta Valley Junior High school’s Robotics Team achieved an outstanding victory at the FIRST LEGO League Camarillo Qualifying Tournament, earning first place in both the Robot Game and Robot Design categories. The team will advance to the Regional Tournament on December 7 in Ventura.

The GV Robotics Team is made up of students from the LEGO Robotics Afterschool Program run by E3 Learning Partners.

In the Robot Game, the team earned the highest overall score of the competition. They also impressed the judges in Robot Design, showcasing excellent programming principles and strong engineering practices to build a robot that is mechanically sound, durable, efficient, and highly capable of completing challenge missions.

Congratulations to the GV Robotics Team on their remarkable achievement and advancement to regionals!

Summer is the perfect time to focus on closing math skill gaps, free from the pressures of the school year and with the flexibility to learn at a comfortable pace.

Our Math Pathway Program offers personalized, one-on-one tutoring designed to target and close skill gaps. In our four-week program, we begin with an initial assessment and collaborate with students to establish clear goals. Through this process, we customize a tailored curriculum, empowering students to grasp basic concepts and excel in mastering essential skills.
With years of experience tutoring middle school students, we have a deep understanding of the common skill gaps that often occur in math and how to effectively address them.

Summer Robotics Camp!
Ready for a summer of innovation and adventure? E3 is teaming up with DP Octobots, an award winning FIRST Robotics Team, to offer a fun robotics summer camp for local 5th-8th grade students. Our Summer Robotics Camp blends hands-on mechanical design, coding, and team challenges with outdoor fun and team-building activities. Campers will learn to build and program their own robots, make new friends, and develop real-world STEM skills—all while enjoying the sunshine. The experience wraps up with an exciting final competition where teams put their robots to the test!

This year, we’re featuring VEX IQ Robotics, a beginner-friendly platform that introduces students to real-world robotics through modular parts, sensors, and drag-and-drop coding. Whether your child is new to robotics or ready to level up, VEX IQ offers the perfect balance of learning and creativity. Campers will work in teams to engineer solutions, troubleshoot problems, and prepare for the final competition using industry-recognized tools and strategies.

This year we are piloting our first robotics after school club at Goleta Valley Junior High. Check out the link for details! Signup will soon be available through Parentsquare.

Students will explore various scientific principles related to ocean health and will then design their robots to accomplish specific tasks.

Since 2020, generous supporters and passionate volunteers have enabled us to provide individual or small-group tutoring/mentoring services to over 500 students, with over 1200+ accumulated volunteer hours. The majority of the students we support are from underserved communities.


We don't just want to help students to pass their classes, we want to increase their motivation and confidence. Last year, 82% of students in our Math Tutoring Program reported feeling more confident in Math after a year of support. Our mentees won over 20 awards at the Santa Barbara County Science Fair. We also aim to help students develop self-advocacy skills, which is invaluable for adolescents.

E3 Learning Partners' High Impact Tutoring program collaborates with teachers to provide small group tutoring in high-need classrooms so that each student gets the individualized attention they need to achieve their academic goals. This year, we partner with two schools to support over 200 students in Santa Barbara and Goleta with free in-class math tutoring once a week.

We are grateful for all the amazing tutors, who are all UCSB students in STEM majors, to volunteer to help inspire younger students. The tutors are patient, kind, and fun. You can feel the excitement in the classrooms when the tutors show up.
