Built in 1956 by Adrian and Ailene Wood, Wood Glen Senior Living (previously "Wood Glen Hall") is a non-profit independent and assisted-living community. We are a uniquely supportive retirement residence, whose mission is to provide a superior option for seniors at a reasonable cost. Wood Glen is built on a

single level, comprised of sixty-three private rooms, on four beautifully landscaped acres at the edge of a quiet and attractive neighborhood. In addition to several lovely courtyards, our manicured grounds include a quarter-mile walkway for the residents' exercise and pleasure. Patios are scattered throughout formal and informal garden areas, ideal for relaxation or for entertaining visiting friends and family. Our activity coordinators arrange many types of entertainment, socials, art, educational programs, exercise, games and special events!

Today we had a wonderful outing to the beach! All made possible with Nature Tracks and their cool all terrain wheelchairs. Our residents had a blast and are already talking about the next time we can go. Thank you Nature Tracks for this amazing experience.

Today at Wood Glen we had a special little lunchtime celebration of Cinco De Mayo! Our menu curated by our very own Chef Jose and a musical appearance by a local band Mariachi Mexicanísimo!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Faux Prom in partnership with Teen Serve, a volunteer group with Community Friends of Santa Barbara! The theme was Mardi Gras and our residents enjoyed live music, dancing and some light refreshments. A good time had by all. Do you remember your prom? Comment below what your prom theme was.
