Good morning Mills County, Dennis has completed his move into his apartment. We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone for their kindness and generosity.
This prompted me to consider those who are still in need of essential items, such as beds, or other household needs that were damaged during the recent storms. If you have any items you would like to donate, please post a description here, allowing those in need to contact you directly, this will facilitate community support and recovery.

This has been resolved!!

We have a problem Houston! So the bed we had inadvertently fell through for Dennis. Anyone have a clean, firmer QUEEN size bed? I have a pick up and boys move it tonight about 630!!

Huge shout out to everyone that has sent me a message. All the big furniture items are handled for Dennis. (86 year old whom lost his home in a fire) Lots of the items I added to the earlier Amazon list were purchased, thank you! Still looking for rugs for the bathroom and kitchen. I also chatted with his granddaughters and we have added just some comfort items that he would enjoy or need. A Bible, wallet, flashlights and some odds and ends.

As far as big ticket items, I'm looking for a small to medium bookshelf and a lightweight vacuum for Dennis
I have created a list on amazon of the smaller items still needed to start this gentleman off after his fire. There is probably more smaller items that I'm forgetting, just message me directly here Khristina Fox and I can let you know

The items will need to dropped off at the Shadetree apartments in Glenwood this Saturday starting at 9am.
Also the list is here that will deliver to me to get to him by Saturday if you want to order any of the items left.

Hello Mills County! I am asking for donations of new or gently used items for an 86 year young gentleman that lost his house and all his belongings in a fire Friday during the storm.
If your willing to deliver items needed Saturday starting at 9am to Shade Tree apartments in Glenwood that would be fantastic. I will have a couple young men available to assist with unloading. I know several people reached out offering some furniture items and I will be sending messages. We ask that all items donated be in clean usable condition and may ask for photos. I have attached a list of items needed to get him started on his new journey. Please message me directly at Khristina Fox so we can arrange and mark off the items requested. You all helped me after my fire and I'd love to see it again for this gentleman! His favorite color is blue, and he does drink Folgers coffee! Let's do this Mills County!
