Effective immediately, the practice of providing a 90-day advance notification letter for annual inspections has been discontinued. All future annual inspections will be conducted without prior notice to ensure compliance with federal health and safety monitoring requirements.

Licensed FCCH programs--did you receive this email from CDEC? If so, congratulations on your Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification!!

CAFCC encourages you to print this certificate, proudly display it, and inform your current and prospective families of this qualification.

While it is not a qualification required of FCCH providers (due to FCCH programs having their own set of licensing rules and requirements including many, many specific trainings), it is something that is required for certain roles in licensed child care centers and a qualification that families can compare from one setting to another.

If you have earned other licensing qualifications or credentials, we encourage you to proudly share these accomplishments as well. CAFCC knows we have many licensed FCCH providers who are also director qualified!

Executives Partnering to Invest in Children - EPIC recently welcomed Pivotal Founder Melinda French Gates, Guild President and CEO Bijal Shah and Denver International Airport President and CEO Phil Washington to Denver for a conversation on the important role employers can play in advancing childcare solutions for working families.

The visit included a tour of The Beehive, Guild's onsite childcare center, which was developed with support from EPIC through its employer-focused childcare model. During the tour, children attending The Beehive enjoyed a special story time with Melinda. The experience served as a reminder that when leaders engage in conversations around childcare, they help elevate solutions that create lasting benefits for children, families, employers and communities.

We're so excited that SB26-125 has been signed into law! 🎉

This important bill enshrines the rights of students with disabilities into state law and gives families a state-level process to address complaints when discrimination occurs.

A HUGE thank you to all our partners who worked tirelessly with us on this legislation, including Senator Christopher Kolker, Senator Janice Marchman, Representative Jennifer Bacon, Representative Dr. Jacque Phillips, and Disability Law Colorado.
