Welcome Back, 7th & 8th Grade Students & Families! 💙
A new school year is here, and we’re so excited for everything ahead!
Our first PTO meeting of the year is Wednesday, September 9th, and we would love for you to join us — in person or virtually! Here is the virtual link for that day https://meet.google.com/wyc-trrp-bpp

PTO meetings are a great way to stay connected to what’s happening at our school. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our principals, Dr. Howard and Mr. Shaw, hear updates directly from our school leadership, ask questions, and learn what’s happening firsthand.
Whether you have lots of time to give, just a little, or simply want to stay informed, there is a place for you in our PTO. Every idea, helping hand and voice matters! ❤️
We’ll also be preparing for our Vendor & Craft Fair on October 10th — our ONE and ONLY school fundraiser of the year! 🎨🛍️
The funds raised at this event allow our PTO to support our students, teachers and school community throughout the entire year, and we truly cannot make it happen without the support of our parents. Whether you can volunteer your time, donate, help behind the scenes, or simply spread the word, every contribution makes a difference for our kids.
Come meet other parents, connect with our school leadership, hear what we have planned for the year, and find a way to be involved that works for you.
We hope to see lots of familiar faces — and welcome plenty of new ones! 😊

Attention all official SASD booster groups, clubs, and organizations…

The Shaler Area Middle School PTO invite your organization/club to participate in the 19th Annual Shaler Area Middle School Vendor & Craft Fair 🍁🍂 on October 10th. We'd like to help your group raise awareness and funds. We're offering you a FREE table at our event where you can promote your group and/or sell any swag, including items you may have left over from Homecoming the week before. More details can be found in the picture below.

Middle school schedules posted August 10th ✏️

UPDATED INFORMATION as of July 20:

Please be advised that due to unforeseen circumstances with the Middle School Roof Project on Monday, the planned campus access restrictions have been rescheduled. Access to the Middle School campus will now be temporarily limited on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

A large crane will be on-site on both Tuesday and Wednesday to remove the existing air conditioning units from the library and shopping center sides of the building in preparation for the installation of new units.

To ensure safety and manage traffic flow, please review the updated temporary closures and adjustments below:
Library Side Entrance
Status: CLOSED starting Monday morning through approximately 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

Library Exit Open for Two-Way Traffic: To accommodate the entrance closure, the library exit will be temporarily converted to two-way traffic on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Please use caution when entering and exiting through this location.

Shopping Center Side Parking Lot
Status: A large section of this parking lot will be CLOSED on Tuesday through mid-day.

Tuesday Parking Restriction: Parking on the shopping center side will be strictly limited to the spaces adjacent to the hillside overlooking the shopping center and the upper parking lot.

What to Expect
Crane Activity: Expect heavy machinery and increased construction noise on campus.

Safety First: Please drive slowly, expect minor delays, and follow all posted safety signage or personnel directing traffic.
