Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet situations by working with the various VA Medical Center representatives (mentor, counselor, case manager, etc.) across the country.

ALL Volunteer 501c3 Military & Veterans Support Organization Supporting our Military, Wounded Warriors, Veterans (inpatient medical/homelessness) and their beloved pets to ensure the pets are reunited with their owners following specific situations Who We Help
Active Duty: single and dual military couples whose units have received deployment orders related to a combat or peacekeeping or humanitar

ian mission. (Foster term up to 1 year)

Family of Deploying Service Member: assistance related to a major medical situation (e.g., MS, Autism, spouse or child wheelchair bound) within the immediate family that would have an impact for the family to care for their beloved pet during the spouse’s deployment. (Foster Term – same as deployment term)

Wounded Warrior: assistance related to a medical situation (combat injuries, TBI, PTSD, Cancer or other major medical issues) by working with the various VA medical assigned representatives (mentor, counselor, social work, etc.), military medical facility (assigned Primary Case Manager) or the military Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) or Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) program. (Foster Term between 2 – 12 months dependent on situation)

Honorable/General Discharged Veteran: assistance related to major medical (e.g., PTSD, TBI, Cancer, etc.) (Foster Term between 2 – 12 months dependent on situation)

Homeless Veteran: assistance involving a homeless situation by working with the various VA and/or VA approved “Homeless Transition” program representatives (mentor, counselor, case manager, etc.) (Foster Term between 3 – 12 months dependent on situation)

Ultimate Sacrifice: families impacted by the loss of a loved one (KIA or Su***de related) through the SOS or CAO representative. Family feels with everything unexpected happening at the moment they are unable to properly care for the MSM/family pet or pets- At the end of the foster term and they have decided not to keep the pet, then the family will be responsible for re-homing the pet or pets in the foster home program. (Foster Term up to 3 months)

How We Do It
Our state and national level coordination volunteers act as a liaison between our clients and a potential foster home registered within our national network of individuals/families who are able and willing to open their hearts and homes to
care for these beloved pets during a designated foster term, so the pets can be reunited with their owners following a deployment and/or an unforeseen hardship.

Meet Lavender, a beautiful 1-year-old Golden Retriever mix weighing just 34 pounds.

Lavender's owner is a service member who is currently deployed. His sister has been caring for her but will soon be returning to school and can only keep Lavender through September 8.

🌟 Sometimes the greatest gifts come from the friendships we build along the way.

One life changed.
Meet this handsome boy.
When his mom made the decision to join the military, she faced a question that no pet owner ever wants to ask:
"Who will care for my dog while I'm away?"
Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet immediately went to work. We searched across five states, making dozens of phone calls and sending countless emails before finally finding an incredible foster volunteer who opened her heart and home.
Today, instead of facing an uncertain future, this sweet boy is safe, loved, and waiting for the day he can once again be by his mom's side-all because one compassionate volunteer said 'yes'.
This is why Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet exists.
We believe no service member, veteran, or first responder should have to choose between answering the call to serve and the companion who has stood faithfully beside them.

When this family faced hardship, their three beloved cats needed a safe place to stay until they could be reunited.
Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet helped locate free boarding so these cherished companions could remain safe and cared for while their family worked through a difficult situation.

🐾 It was a warm day at Dog Daddy Fest, but the dogs still managed to steal the show! One giant pup decided our booth was the perfect shady retreat, complete with water and treats, while this regal four-legged attendee proudly took home two prizes.
Despite the heat, we enjoyed meeting fellow dog lovers, rescues, and supporters while sharing the mission of Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet: keeping pets safe and families together during times of deployment, medical treatment, housing challenges, and other hardships.

We were also grateful to receive $68 in donations. Every dollar helps us continue supporting military members, veterans, and their beloved companions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, shared our information, or simply stopped to say hello. Events like these help us build awareness, connect with potential foster homes and volunteers, and continue keeping pets safe and families together.
