Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. SI Azusa/Glendora's supports the Soroptimist mission statement that reads "A global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment."

We have been supporting Hope Matters International for quite some time now. We recently had the pleasure of having the founder, Michelle Kiprop as a speaker at our recent meeting. We were a part of a project to partner with the Azusa Rotary and the Rotary Club of Lugari, to provide medical screening reaching over 800 Kenyans. We are so happy to be a part of this program. It’s been a rough year for our club. We lost our sweet member Lori Ulloa and member Rhonda Beltran lost her mom. We presented Lori’s husband Martin with a donation in memory of Lori to St. Judes Hospital and to Rhonda, in memory of her mother Carol, a donation to the House of Ruth domestic violence shelter. Our hearts go out to you and your families.
