We have been working with Uplift and Ucan on the Douglas County Professional Advisory Committee and was provided an amazing packet of resources in Douglas County. We have shared and printed copies of these resources to share with local organizations and the school. You can come to our building Tuesday and Thursday 10am-1pm and it's available to look for resources you may need. There is also copies at Glendale City Hall, Glendale Library, Glendale Depot, Azalea Grange and each of the churches have been provided a copy from the city. There are 145 Agencies and nonprofit organizations with contact information and what they provide.

Our partners at U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest are offering a FREE, public chainsaw training and certification course + first aid/CPR on May 29-30!

Limited to 30 spots, so sign up now if you're interested by emailing [email protected]. Several SOTA members are already planning to be there and have claimed seats, so we'll see you there.

Saw training and certification is required for SOTA volunteers who want to use chainsaws during our volunteer days, and it's also just a great course for learning bucking safety and technique.

A first aid/CPR cert is required to become chainsaw certified, but the USFS is also offering this training on Friday, May 29th from 6:00pm-8:30pm in Medford, ahead of the chainsaw course.

The saw training course will be offered on Saturday, May 30th from 9:00am to 3:30pm in Medford, with field training to follow at a TBD later date. No gear or PPE is required to attend the classroom day on May 30th, just bring food and water.

Last day of our free pile!! Out by the dumpster those desks are extremely well built and sturdy bring help to load it. Dumpster goes tomorrow afternoon and everything with it!!

Thank You to all our wonderful volunteers that showed up today as well!! Big Shout Out to Lillian Phelps Cleaning Company for spending the weekend cleaning up! Highly appreciated and recommended to those needing cleaning services. We got ALOT done!! There is a free pile outside the dumpster until Tuesday Morning!! We appreciate all our volunteers who worked really hard this weekend and we value your time and support!! Thank You!!
