Anima Singers

Call Directions Website Contact the organization

Founded in 1964-Anima is a 501(c)3 performance based choral music education program.

Anima-GECC means breath, life, soul, spirit, and mind, which reflects our mission to transform young lives through excellence in music education and choral singing. Choristers rehearse twice weekly, after school, and perform locally, nationally and internationally. Advanced ensembles perform with world famous conductors with such organizations as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic and the Lyric Opera. Predicated on the principle that ALL children are inherently musical and that music vitally enriches the quality of life, Chorus activities are designed to help discover, nurture, and develop the “artist in every child”.

Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day and honor the rich cultures, histories, and voices of Native American and Indigenous peoples worldwide.

Music has always been central to Indigenous communities, whether in storytelling, spiritual expression, and celebration. We're inspired by the power of these traditions.

Thank you to all Indigenous peoples for your contributions to our shared world!

We love supporting our community!

From volunteering at the Community Rummage Sale, to dining at Barone's of Glen Ellyn, to enjoying a sweet treat at Glen Ellyn Candy & Cones (owned by one of our very own Anima families!), we are proud to .

Community is such a big part of who we are at Anima Singers, and it means so much to be able to participate in our greater Glen Ellyn community (and surrounding towns!), as well.

Happy Kids Music Day!

Music isn't just entertainment - it's a gift that shapes growing minds! 🌟

Here are just some of the incredible ways music makes a difference for kids:

❤️ Support emotional growth – helping kids express feelings and build confidence
🤝 Strengthen social bonds – teaching teamwork, listening, and connection

When kids sing together, they're not just making beautiful sounds - they're building brains, hearts, and friendships!
