It’s a wrap! As President of the Glastonbury Rotary club, it fills my heart with pride that our club puts on this amazing fundraiser dinner called the Lobsterfest🦞 as a photographer myself, I capture the fun and record the event every year since I’ve been a member. Here are a little over 30 images that were some of my favorites, and I will post all the rest in the coming week on our page to share with the community, that always come out to support our efforts. I want to especially thank all our generous sponsors, hardworking members, (especially Chair, Phil Markuszka Co- Chair, Jill Kehl and Mike Ingenito our LF Steering Committee Chair) our volunteers who helped make this event possible, and of course, all the people who attended. We can’t thank you enough for coming out last night under this massive tent to enjoy community, good food and fun!
Let’s do it again next year❤️

The GRC President, Lynn Damon was honored to present four Rotary Scholarships at last night’s Glastonbury High School Scholastic Annual Program.

This year‘s recipient of our Primary Scholarship for $25,000 paid in $6,250 increments over four years is Mace Beckius.

This year‘s recipient of our $10,000 Scholarship paid in $2,500 increments over four years is Jesse Wang.

This year’s recipient of the Skilled Trade Scholarship for $5,000 paid in $2,500 increments over two years is Clayton Morris.

This year‘s recipient of the David A Miller Building Trade Scholarship for $5,000 paid in $2,500 increments over two years is Ryan Sansoucy.

Here is a quote from the presentation:

“Our club is made up of dedicated business people who live or work here in Glastonbury. Our scholarship, founded in 1979, has granted over $900,000 to Glastonbury students over the years. The fund receives donations from members, towns people, former winners of these scholarships, and our clubs, fundraising efforts that many of you have supported over the years. Tonight‘s winners must demonstrate a commitment to our motto "Service Above Self", they must achieve academic excellence have a demonstrated financial need, they must have letters of recommendation and they must submit a compelling essay describing how their continuing education will help them contribute effectively to community service. As you would expect, we had an incredible pool of candidates to choose from again this year. We are always amazed at the quality of the student body here. We are thrilled that we can support your continued success. Thank you to all of the students who applied.”
