The Mid-Atlantic Regional College Auditions (MARCAs) is an in-person audition that draws High School Juniors, Seniors, and College Transfers from the Mid-Atlantic Region to audition for college recruiters across the country.

Rutgers University:
The Mason Gross School of the Arts Theater Department combines intensive studio classes, innovative academic curricula, and a diverse season of productions in a wide range of styles and approaches, to provide students with in-depth training and practice in theater. Guided by master teachers and accomplished professionals, the department is committed to developing theater artists of the highest caliber who are prepared to join the profession and be a part of the next generation of practitioners and innovators. Areas of BFA concentration include: Acting, Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Costume Design, Costume Technology, Technical Direction, Stage Management, and Dramaturgy. Acting and Design students spend a semester studying at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

West Chester University:

Students studying theater and dance at WCU work in a supportive, rigorous, collaborative, and creative environment. Our program teaches the skills necessary for successful futures in the professional and academic world of theater while raising student awareness of civility, diversity, creativity, problem solving, and social responsibility. Through classroom work and production experiences students gain skills in communication, management, performance, design, technology, and research. Our faculty, who are practicing professionals, work closely with students, helping to build a strong foundation in their program of choice and mentoring them as they move into their lives after graduation. Recent alumni have been working as performers, designers, technicians, and educators. In addition, you can find them continuing their education in graduate MA and MFA programs. BFA Acting: The Acting BFA prepares students for a versatile career as a performer across stage and screen. Students spend their first two years immersed in intensive stage training, developing a strong foundation in acting technique, voice, movement, text analysis, and ensemble work. The final two years shift the focus to on-camera performance, giving students specialized training for film, television, and digital media. Throughout the program, students work with accomplished faculty and guest artists while gaining the practical experience, confidence, and adaptability needed to navigate a rapidly evolving performance industry.

DTM: Design, Technology, and Management (DTM) Concentration – This pre-professional track prepares students to become the creative and technical artists who bring live performance to life. Through hands-on training, you will explore areas including scenic, costume, lighting, sound, stage management, technical direction, and production management while developing the collaborative and problem-solving skills essential to professional theatre. Students work on productions throughout their education, learning to move from concept to ex*****on while building a portfolio of work and gaining experience in the collaborative environment of a working theatre company. In DTM you’ll build a foundation in theatre with intensive practicums and production work experience to launch your career with confidence.

Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College:
The Powerhouse Theater comes to life, each summer, on the Vassar College campus to nurture an environment where both students and professionals can learn from one another. The Powerhouse Theater Training Program provides aspiring theater professionals a chance to immerse themselves in the study of acting, directing, or playwriting. The Training Company also offers free performances throughout the season. The Professional Season produces developmental workshops of plays, musicals, and readings of works-in-progress. For 40 years Powerhouse has served as an incubator for new work and projects such as Hamilton, The Wolves, Messy White G**s and The Holes; can all trace their developmental roots back to Powerhouse. Muhlenberg College:
Muhlenberg Theatre & Dance invites students to pursue their passionate commitment to the arts, while at the same time exploring their full range of creative and academic interests. Muhlenberg Theatre students get world-class studio training AND a first-rate liberal arts education. Muhlenberg's approach to theatre is engaging, rigorous and flexible, combining exciting creative experiences with professional standards — in the classroom, in the studio and on the stage. The department's critically acclaimed performance series offers a variety of vibrant, eclectic experiences, from cutting-edge black box dramas to Broadway-style musicals.

Students interested in performing and choreographic careers can study ballet, contemporary modern, jazz, hip hop, aerial acrobatics, and tap dance through advanced levels. In addition to frequent workshops with established professional artists, we host longer residencies and restaging of dances by renowned artists, including Melanie George, Bill T. Jones, George Balanchine, Karole Armitage, Urban Bush Women, Charlotte Boyd-Christensen, and Donald McKayle. The program produces at least three dance concerts annually, and dancers participate in a wide variety of dance companies and dance teams that perform on campus and in the community.
