The Mid-Atlantic Regional College Auditions (MARCAs) is an in-person audition that draws High School Juniors, Seniors, and College Transfers from the Mid-Atlantic Region to audition for college recruiters across the country.

James Madison University:
The JMU School of Theatre and Dance offers BA degrees in Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Dance, and minors in Theatre and Dance, providing hands-on training within a broader university experience. Students in Theatre have the opportunity to pursue one or multiple concentrations in Design and Technology, Performance, Theatre Education (with or without Licensure), Theatre Studies (Directing, Dramaturgy, Playwriting).

New York Film Academy:
At NYFA, your classroom is the entertainment industry. The New York Film Academy College of Film, Media & Performing Arts offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Musical Theatre or Acting for Film, combining conservatory-style training for both stage and screen with hands-on learning from day one. Students train with working professionals from Broadway, film, television, voiceover, and beyond while collaborating on student films, stage productions, and industry-driven projects. Centenary University:
The study of theatre is ultimately about the presentation and creation of the theatre event. Nothing beats practical experience! We have over 150 performances a year and produce a wide variety of work!

At Centenary, you will get a chance to show your skills in everything from the professional equity productions with the CENTENARY STAGE COMPANY to year-round musicals and plays with the NextStage Rep or touring programs with the YAS Young Audience Series. Oh yes, the touring program pays the students who participate! If you want to perform, design, stage manage , teach theatre or work tech and have what it takes, this is the place for you. All students work in some capacity with the Centenary Stage Company, the professional theatre in residence at CU where you can gain admittance into the union. In addition, there is a vibrant dance program performing throughout the state.
There are also study abroad options, Disney semesters, Internships and so much more. We look forward to having you join us as you begin your University career.

Set yourself up for success!
A live accompanist will play for all Musical Theatre auditions, so have your music prepared in advance. Clearly marking your music for your accompanist will set you up for success in the audition room. Please note that no canned (recorded) music is allowed.

Make every moment count!
Students interested in ACTING programs will prepare two contrasting monologues. There is a two minute time limit to these monologues, not including your slate. There is no time limit on the individual monologues, but together they must not go over two minutes total.
