The Mid-Atlantic Regional College Auditions (MARCAs) is an in-person audition that draws High School Juniors, Seniors, and College Transfers from the Mid-Atlantic Region to audition for college recruiters across the country.

This year at MARCAs we had
220 students, auditioning for
85 recruiters from
49 theater and dance programs from over
10 different states across the country.

It's safe to say that including chaperones and volunteers we easily had over 500 people come together for this event!

This event is so special to us and every year, students leave with invitations, acceptances, scholarships. We are so proud of all the students who wore their heart on their sleeve and we are so thankful to the support of these recruiters who dedicate their work to getting students access to an affordable arts education!

We hope to see our juniors next year as seniors and all of you amazing recruiters next year!

We are excited to have University of Mary Washington at MARCAs this year! They will be recruiting students for Acting and Musical Theatre!

Ours is a strong community of theatre practitioners—faculty, staff, and students—who create plays and musicals that encourage conversations with our audience. Through classes, rehearsals, work calls, meetings, practical experiences, and strong faculty mentoring, our students graduate from UMW as emerging theatre professionals fully prepared to pursue a career in the professional theatre. We are excited to have University of Evansville at MARCAs this year! They will be recruiting students for Acting, Musical Theatre, & Design-Tech.

"The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre at Texas A&M prepares you for careers onstage, backstage and offstage through collective creation and collaborative production, rooted in an ethic of care. The program is centered in a practice-based approach to the many facets of theatre-making, including performance, design and production.

Through this program you will become a flexible and innovative creator who can communicate across cultures and media, and who thrives in a highly varied and ever-changing job market. You will be prepared to embark on careers in a variety of settings, both in theatre and beyond.

Areas of emphasis:
- Performance: Includes acting, voice, movement and directing.
- Design and Production: Includes scenic, costume, lighting, sound design and technology.
- Arts Administration and Community Engagement: Includes producing and archiving theatrical productions, and working with communities and specialized populations.

We are excited to have Texas A&M at MARCAs this year! They will be recruiting students for Dance!

The Dance Science degree focuses on dance research, anatomy, nutrition, conditioning, injury prevention and care, and biomechanical principles within dance technique. Additional coursework includes:

- Pilates
- Dance Pedagogy
- Safe Practices in Teaching Dance
- Dance Production
- Composition
- Special Populations in Dance
- Mental Health for Performance Artists
- Dance techniques such as ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap, improvisation and partnering.

The degree plan also offers 18 hours of electives in which students can focus on professional school requirements, teacher training and/or additional dance technique courses.

The four-year Dance Science undergraduate degree requires a minimum of 120 credit hours.

We are excited to have the Chicago College of Performing Arts at MARCAs this year! They will be recruiting students for acting and musical theater!

The Chicago College of Performing Arts offers four distinct degrees in Theatre Arts. A BFA conservatory program with specializations available in musical theatre, acting, or musical theatre with a dance concentration; a BA in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies, a Master’s in Theatre Directing and a Master’s in Performing Arts Administration. We are excited to have Temple University at MARCAs this year! They will be recruiting students for Acting, Musical Theatre, and Design-Tech!
