A Little Magic, A Lot of Philanthropy! ✨
What happens when you bring together philanthropy, Judaism, and a little magic? An evening to remember!
On October 8th, The Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies celebrated our donors at the 2026 Donor Appreciation Event, The Magic of Philanthropy, recognizing the generosity of those who help shape and strengthen our community.
The highlight of the evening was celebrating Stuart and Caren Shapiro as founders of the Stuart and Caren Shapiro Jewish Genealogy Center of Buffalo, and Bob Hirsch and Adele Henderson as founders of the Jewish Museum of Buffalo.
And then came the magic! World-renowned magician Joshua Jay amazed guests with his extraordinary sleight of hand, creativity, and humor. Along the way, he shared some fascinating history about the connection between Jewish entertainers and the world of magic.
And most importantly, a HUGE thank you to our wonderful donors and the entire Buffalo Jewish community! We are so grateful for each of you, not just for your generosity, but for the care, kindness, and commitment you bring to making our world a better place. Your belief in what we can accomplish together inspires us every day and helps shape a brighter future for generations to come. It was truly a joy to spend the evening celebrating you, and we couldn't be more thankful to have you as part of the Foundation family.
What a night to remember! ✨
