“We’ve seen Josie experience a lot of pain. The moments we had in Hawaii, witnessing her experience exhilarating joy felt like a balm to our trauma.” — Molly, Josie’s mom 💙🌴

For Josie, Hawaii was something she had imagined for years. She would listen to a Hawaiian version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and picture herself there. Her wish finally gave her the chance to experience it for herself — to have fun, explore and just be a kid.

Getting Josie there took a lot behind the scenes: careful planning, coordination and resources to make sure her wish could happen safely and just as she imagined it.

That’s what your support makes possible. You help turn a child’s wish into a real experience — one that can bring hope, strength and joy when they need it most.

Today is the final day of Travel Month. ✈️ Help make more wishes take flight: wish.org/travel

🌳 Kayden’s wish is underway — just in time for the final days of summer!

Kayden wished for a treehouse in his backyard — a place where he can play with his brother (his very best friend) and all his friends. We’re just putting on the finishing touches to make it perfect, but Kayden is already having fun in his new favorite spot.

His mom said his wish came at the perfect time. Kayden has a heart condition, and as he gets older, he’s beginning to understand more about his medical condition and what his future may look like. That understanding has brought some anxiety, making this wish an especially meaningful chance for Kayden to have a place that’s all about being a kid and enjoying time with the people he loves.

When it came time for five-year-old Kashmir to choose his wish, he knew he wanted to be surrounded by animals – “owls, tigers, lions, and giraffes,” to name a few. A trip to Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort was at the top of his list.

While battling leukemia, Kashmir was able to spend a carefree week seeing all the animals he loves and meeting his favorite characters with his family by his side. He came home with so many toys and souvenirs that Mom brought back a duffel bag full of them!

Every wish gives a child like Kashmir an opportunity to take a break from the pressure of treatment and feel like a kid again. Visit https://bit.ly/4gnpepx to learn more about the impact of a wish, and how to help make a difference in a child’s life 💙

“I want to visit Japan because of all it has to offer - the food, landmarks, and culture.” 🏯

13-year-old Calla wished to venture across the world and try delicious foods. She especially wanted to see capybaras in hot springs, visit Super Nintendo World, and explore as many local restaurants as possible.

After undergoing a kidney transplant, Calla’s wish came true. She got to explore the sights of Tokyo, take a food tour of local hidden gems, and of course, spot a capybara. As an anime and Manga fan, she also loved seeing references to her favorite games and stories in person.

Your support can help a child like Calla look beyond their diagnosis and see the world. Find out how you can get involved at https://bit.ly/4qEzTPX✨

☀️ We’re not ready to let summer go just yet.

For Khamilla, her wish to visit Aruba was all about soaking up the warmth, taking in the beautiful blue water, building sandcastles and simply enjoying the beauty around her. It was a place she had always wanted to see - and one where she could truly relax and enjoy.

And while August is winding down, there’s still time to make the most of this season of wishes. 💙

☀️🐠Sometimes, the perfect family vacation is simply a chance to slow down and be together.

For six-year-old Scarlett, that meant a family trip to Myrtle Beach. After battling leukemia, she was ready for some of the things she loves most: playing in the water, swimming, seeing fish and spending time with her family. 💙

When Scarlett’s mom thought about the kind of trip that would make Scarlett happiest, she remembered a visit to Myrtle Beach and the aquarium. She knew Scarlett would love seeing all the fish, and with her sensory challenges, the beach, pools and relaxed pace of a Myrtle Beach getaway made it a perfect fit.

After years filled with doctor appointments and the constant go-go-go of everyday life, Scarlett’s mom said the whole family could use a reset. Her wish gave them the chance to do just that: slow down, enjoy the things Scarlett loves and spend time together.

In fact, 95% of wish parents say their child’s wish brings their family closer together. For families like Scarlett’s, a wish can create space to reconnect and make memories that last long after the vacation ends.

This Travel Month, help make more family getaways like Scarlett’s possible. ✈️ Find out how you can help at https://bit.ly/4grpGls .

“When I’m gaming, no one knows I have a disability.” 🎮 - Wish Kid Tanner

Tanner has always loved sports, and gaming gives him a way to keep that part of his life going. He can compete, play with friends and enjoy the sports he loves in a way that works for him.

Tanner lives with a progressive neuromuscular disorder that affects his movement. His physical and occupational therapists have also seen how much gaming means to him physically, sharing that it’s helping keep his hands moving and maintain his dexterity and strength.

That’s what makes his wish for a shopping spree for new gaming equipment so special. It means more time doing something that gives Tanner freedom, keeps him connected to his friends and lets him keep playing the sports he loves. And, as his mom hoped, his wish is a reminder that good things can happen. 💙

Beau loves being outside, especially swinging, playing and climbing, and his new playset brings those favorite things right home. Complete with a rock wall, swings and plenty of space to play, he and his siblings are already having the time of their lives. 🛝

Summer may be winding down, but there’s still time to help make more wishes come true for kids like Beau. You can give more kids the chance to make summer memories, have fun and simply be kids. Help grant a summer wish today: https://bit.ly/4wHtm8Q💙
