This event will feature Pahlmeyer Winery, food from renowned chefs, a curated list of bourbons, live music, a live and silent auction featuring unique items, and the opportunity to meet therapy horses. All proceeds benefit our mission.

Dreamer is training to become a therapeutic cart driving pony. He still has some work to do, but is getting better and more comfortable with each training session.

Therapeutic cart driving is a great program for individuals who do not want to or cannot mount a horse. This program develops fine motor skill coordination and core strength. It also makes students practice task repetition - getting a horse (or in Dreamer's case, a pony) hooked up to the cart is a lengthy and complicated process!

Week 1 of Summer Horse Camp is going great! Our students are completing crafts, learning about animal care, and got to ride today!

It's Day One of Summer Horse Camp at Shining Stars! Students will spend the week learning about horses and other animals, doing crafts, participating in Bible lessons, enjoying water games, and of course getting hands-on time with our herd.

We may be in between our Spring and Summer sessions, but our team and herd are hard at work. Oreo currently works in our therapeutic riding and unmounted Equine Connection program. He is training to become a therapeutic cart driving horse and, as you can see, is taking to it quite well. Good job Oreo!
