Interested in showing livestock? Interested in showing but not in FFA?🐮🐷🐑🐐
Well… did you know there is this pretty cool club called 4-H? 🍀
Geronimo FFA will be hosting a Livestock & 4-H Interest Meeting on Monday, August 31 at 5:30 PM in the Geronimo High School Ag Building.
If your child has mentioned wanting to show an animal, wants to get involved in 4-H, or you’re a parent sitting there thinking, “We might be interested, but I have NO idea where to even start,” come see us!
Our Geronimo 4-H leader and Comanche County 4-H Extension Agent will be there to answer questions, give you more information, and help get kiddos signed up for 4-H.
🍀 And 4-H is SO much more than just showing livestock! There are lots of different projects, activities, contests, leadership opportunities, and ways for kids to get involved. So even if showing an animal isn’t your thing but you want to know what else 4-H has to offer, come join us!
FFA MEMBERS: If you are currently in FFA and plan on showing livestock this year, you need to be at this meeting! We will be going over livestock information and expectations for the upcoming show season.
And remember — you do NOT have to be in FFA to show livestock! If you think your child might be interested, come to the meeting. You aren’t committing to anything by showing up. Come ask questions, get some information, and see if it’s something your family wants to jump into!
Already have livestock? Please bring a copy of your animal’s registration papers if available so I can get them added to my records.
