🍎📚 Back to School = Back to PTCO! 💚

It's that time again!

The backpacks are packed, the pencils are sharpened, and we’re getting ready for another great year at GEMS! We’re excited to get back to bringing our families together, supporting our teachers, and making school a little more fun. ✨
And what better way to kick things off than with our first PTCO meeting of the year! 🎉

Come join us and hear what we have planned! Bring your ideas and find out how you can be part of the fun. Whether you can volunteer once or become a regular PTCO face, we’d love to have you!

The Georgia PTCO would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Steve Emery on his retirement!

Steve's dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our school community have made a lasting impact on generations of students, families, and staff. His kindness, steady presence, and countless contributions have helped shape GEMS into the special place it is today.

As a small token of our appreciation, we were honored to present Steve with a commemorative plaque recognizing the lasting impact he has made on generations of students and families.

Also, with the generous support of community members and volunteers, we were also honored to make a donation to the Heyward House in his honor.

Thank you Steve for everything you have done for GEMS and the community at large!

Today we wrapped up our Teacher Appreciation Week with our ⭐ Hall of Heroes Celebration ⭐ — honoring every superpower that makes our school such a special place.

From the patience and kindness shown each day, to the encouragement, creativity, laughter, and love poured into our students… our teachers and staff truly are heroes in every sense of the word.

This week was just a small way to say THANK YOU for all that you do behind the scenes and beyond the classroom walls. Your impact reaches farther than you know, and our school community is stronger because of you.

Thank you for being the heart of our school and for showing up every single day with your own unique superpowers. ❤️

WEDNESDAY – Hero Snacks & Drinks Day 🧃🍿

Today was all about keeping our amazing teachers fueled between missions! From sweet treats to savory snacks, we loved celebrating the everyday heroes who give so much of themselves to our students and school community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today special — your kindness, generosity, and support mean so much. Our heroes definitely deserved the extra fuel today! 💛
