The Georgia Board of School Directors is accepting letters of interest from Georgia residents who would like to fill a vacancy on the Georgia School Board. The vacancy runs until March 2027, where the remainder of the term will be voted on at Town Meeting Day. Serving on the school board is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Georgia Elementary & Middle School and represent the community. This commitment involves attending 1-2 meetings per month.

To apply, please send a letter of interest by Fri. May 1st to ​​[email protected].

In the letter, please discuss your background, experience, and why you are interested in serving on the Georgia Board of School Directors. Describe what strengths you would bring to the position, and any goals you may have. Prospective candidates are encouraged to review board meeting minutes at fwsu.org/page/gems-board. The School Board plans to decide at their next meeting on May 5th, 2026.

Franklin West Supervisory Union is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Elizabeth Noonan as its next Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.

Dr. Noonan earned her Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University in Curriculum, Teaching, Leading, & Learning. She began her career in education in Maryland in 2007 and moved to Vermont to teach social studies in 2018. Liz currently serves as High School Principal at BFA Fairfax. She will begin her new position on July 1, 2026.
