Meets each Wednesday, Noon, at the Junction 36 Restaurant

WHAT WE DO FOR GATESVILLE
The Gatesville Lions Club is a strong supporter of many Gatesville community functions and humanitarian programs. Examples of those Club activities include the following:

• Free eyeglasses for local kids who can’t afford them
• Contributor to Care Center funds for school su

pplies for needy children
• Award of college scholarships to graduating seniors
• Teacher of the Month Program recognizing outstanding teacher performance
• Sponsor of Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troops and contributor to programs
• Contributor to Little League Teams
• Contributor to School Sports Teams
• Contributor to the Gatesville Boys & Girls Club
• Contributor to the Gatesville 4-H Club
• Contributor to the Gatesville Special Olympics program for disabled children
• Contributor to the Food for Families food drive by the Care Center
• Contributor to the Gatesville Senior Center
• Contributor to the CASA graduation party
• Contributor to Relay for Life
• Red Kettle program bell ringers
• And many other programs in the community. WHAT WE DO FOR TEXAS AND GATESVILLE
In addition to the above, the Gatesville Lions Club participates in and contributes to other Lions Club programs benefiting people in Texas. Examples include the following:

• Lone Star Eye Bank for cornea transplants
• Texas Lions Camp for disabled children with all types of physical disabilities, and also Type 1 diabetes and Down Syndrome
• Collection of used eyeglasses for the Texas recycling center
• Lions Efforts Against Drugs (LEAD) program
• Leader Dog for the Blind program
• World Service for the Blind Program
