School is almost out! ☀️ For many kids, summer means vacation, sleeping in, and trips to the pool. But for children in the foster care system, the end of the school year can actually be a time of heightened anxiety.
School provides a predictable routine, guaranteed meals, and a steady support system of teachers and friends. When that routine pauses for the summer, children who have experienced trauma can struggle with the lack of structure.
That is why summer at Jonathan’s Place is packed with intention. We work hard to provide engaging activities, structured schedules, and therapeutic play to ensure our kids don’t just make it through the summer—they genuinely enjoy it.
You can help make this a summer to remember for our kids!
