Hey local friends and fam-important info

As we look ahead, a group of dedicated parents is organizing a Community Vision Night to discuss ways to improve our athletic and activity facilities at Gardner Edgerton High School. Our current spaces are stretched thin with multiple programs sharing limited areas, and weather often disrupts practices - an indoor, climate-controlled facility could change that for our kids, youth programs, and the whole community. Like many of you, I've seen firsthand how our students in band, cheer, dance, sports, and all our activities pour everything into representing Gardner Edgerton. The reality is our programs have grown, but indoor spaces haven't kept up.

This is an informal gathering - no pressure, no commitments - just a chance to learn about challenges, see examples from similar districts (like Nixa, MO's new Apex Activity Center), and share ideas and support to show our Board and administration that this matters to our families. Together, we can keep building a district that attracts families and gives every Trailblazer the chance to thrive.

Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Gardner Edgerton High School Auditorium.

Straight outta Gardner Edgerton....for Back 2 Back years Sports In Kansas chooses a Gardner player as 6A Offensive Players of the year. Congrats to this years Syre Padilla!!

2025 Sports in Kansas 6A Offensive Player of the Year: Syre Padilla, Gardner-Edgerton🏈, Sr. RB

A remarkable season ends with 2,882 rushing yards, 43 touchdowns, 240.2 yards per game and an incredible 10.8 yards per carry. Padilla set the single-season rushing record for head coach Jesse Owen. He led the state in rushing yards and finished 17th nationally. A Pittsburg State commit, Padilla was once again the engine of one of the most physical offenses in Kansas. He was also named earlier this week to the Sports in Kansas Top 11 Team.

The impact of Padilla has defined Gardner-Edgerton football over the last four years. The Trailblazers won back-to-back state championships in 2023 and 2024, the first titles in school history. They were the 6A runner-up in 2022 and reached the semifinals this year, falling to Olathe Northwest. His production matches the rise of the program, with GE becoming a powerhouse during his high school career.

Padilla will go down as one of the offensive greats in Gardner-Edgerton history, joining names such as Bubba Starling, Trae Wrench and Bravin Powell-Brown.

Congratulations to our own Syre Padilla!!!
