Mama Won't Fly is an outrageously hilarious race against the clock begins when Savannah Sprunt Fairchild Honeycutt agrees to get her feisty mother all the way from Alabama to California in time for her brother’s wedding. Savannah’s problem: Mama won’t fly. With only four days to make it to the ceremony, this determined daughter has no choice but to drive cross-country with her equally willful mother, Norleen Sprunt, in Mama’s vintage sedan.
As Savannah steels herself for this hastily conceived road trip, another outrageous complication arises: the bubbly, over-eager bride-to-be arrives unannounced. Hayley Quinn, delighted to finally meet her future in-laws, is convinced that traveling together to her wedding is the perfect way to bond. The folly of her decision quickly becomes apparent when the journey begins and comedic chaos ensues. Every conceivable – and inconceivable – mishap that can occur does, including the theft of their car and all their clothes, a near-fatal encounter at an underwear museum, the accidental homicide of an ancient Texas relative, a mad dash across the desert in a hijacked eighteen-wheeler and a riotous detour to Vegas that ends in a brawl with an ordained showgirl/minister.
As the misadventures multiply, the beleaguered trio rapidly develops the urge to ditch each other anywhere along the way. Eventually the race to get to the church on time takes its toll and the overwhelmed bride calls off the wedding. Rising above their age-old mother-daughter issues, Norleen and Savannah work together to get the nuptials back on track. In a surprising and heartwarming resolution, they forge an exciting new path for their own relationship and welcome Hayley into their delightfully wacky family. This ferociously funny, family-friendly Jones-Hope-Wooten comedy will have you laughing your way across the country and all the way down the aisle!

A little about Rose:
I am a soon to be freshman at Palacios Junior Senior High. I have enjoyed theater since the first summer kids play here 5 years ago. I also enjoy playing sports, being in FFA, and traveling to new places.

If you could describe your character in three words, what would they be:
Organized, hardworking, self-doubting

What is the one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of typecast:
I really like being around my cast-mates, but what I enjoy about the play it self it getting to play someone who doesn’t know how to act.

A few of my hobbies include sewing, scrapbooking, watercolor, painting, and baking. Some of my favorite things are the color green, lemons, my dog, learning new things, and being on stage.

Cheerful, helpful, kind-hearted

What is the one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of Typecast:
One thing I have enjoyed about being part of this TypeCast production is the cast itself. I love how we can be unserious together as a group of friends and are able to be serious as a cast.

Meet Adilynn Aldridge as Ms. Thespis!

A little about Adilynn:
I will be graduating this year from Ganado High School. I’m a member of the Pride of the Tribe marching band. I play the tenor saxophone. I also play the guitar, piano/keyboard. I loved getting to be a dramatic and just overall fun character. I usually play serious ones.


If you could describe your character in three words, what would they be:
Expressive, artsy, energetic

What is the one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of Typecast? Being part of Typecast has helped me with my acting range as well and opened me to a new, fun role.

What is the one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of typecast:
The one thing I’ve enjoyed about typecast is my role. Mr. Ball is so fun to play, especially when there’s drama happening, and he just doesn’t care.

Meet Kadence Smalley as Myra Snootwell!

A little about Kadence:
In my personal life, there are many things I love doing. I love playing multiple sports, but tennis is my favorite. This year will be my third year as a percussionist in my school band. I have a dog named Mikey, and two cats named Marley and Pepsi, and they are all my favorite things in the world. I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and pets whenever I can. My passions are music, theater, and academics. I am always staying busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Moody, sarcastic, and a slacker 

What is the one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of Typecast:
One thing I have enjoyed most about being in typecast is being able to work with everyone. It’s been so fun to collaborate on this show, and everyone has done a great job.

Meet Saige Payne as Juliet Sawyer!

A little about Saige:
 I am involved in the following programs at my school in El Campo: culinary, band (I play the clarinet), and I’m the theater president of STARS. I enjoy drawing and building computers.  

If you could describe your character in just three words, what would they be:
Valley girl, ditzy, sassy

What is one thing you have enjoyed most about being part of Typecast:
My favorite part about typecast is being able to spend time with my castmates and goofing around with them.
