Parents of ALL ATHLETES who have not done a concession or gate this year need to sign up for one of the following spots in our upcoming Powerlifting Meet, Track Meet or Softball Tournament. The following positions are open:

Powerlifting Meet: February 14th
Grill: 1 worker
Gate Worker: 7:30am-1:30pm - 2 workers
Concession Workers: 7:30am-3:00pm - 3 workers

HS Track Meet and Softball Tournament: Thursday, Feb. 19th
Grill: 1 worker
Gate workers: 8:30am-3:00pm
Gate workers: 3:00-8:00pm
Concession workers: 8:30am-4:00pm - 3 workers
Concession Workers:4:00 pm-Closing - 7 workers

Junior High Track Meet and Softball Tournament: Friday, Feb. 20th
Grill: 1 worker
Gate Workers: 8:30 am-3:00 pm - 2 workers
Gate workers: 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm - 3 workers
Concession Workers: 8:30 - 4:00 pm - 2 workers
Concession Workers: 4:00 pm - Closing - 7 workers

Softball Tournament: Saturday, February 21st
Gate Workers: 7:30 am- 2:00 pm

Parents it is very important that you participate in your child's activities by helping out the organization that provides money for the programs that your children participate in so you don't have to. The more people that help, the less strain it puts on the ones who are doing the most work for the athletic program through our organization. We are currently looking for 6 workers for this Friday’s football concession stand as well as someone to grill the hamburgers. Parents/athletes it is your responsibility to work at least one concession stand each year to help us raise the money to purchase the needed equipment for the different sports, pay for scholarships and to pay for any needed supplies that the coaches require. If everyone did their smalll part we would have everything covered for the year. Please contact Tiffany Gonzales at 361-652-0515 to sign up. If we do not get volunteers we will not be able to have a concession this Friday.

Parents of all Ganado ISD athletes please see the Volleyball and Football concession schedules that are attached. All athletes or their parents are expected to sign up for concessions to help our organization pay for the necessary equipment that the athletes need that the athletic department's budget can not provide. Just this year we have purchased a new volleyball system, a dumbbell rack for the girls weight room, and a baseball pitching machine and the school year is just starting. We have also airconditioned the football concession and bathrooms up at the hill. We are asking that you please contact Tiffany Gonzales at 361-652-0515 to sign up. All High School seniors who will be applying for scholarships through the Sports Booster Club must have earned 4 credits to receive a scholarship.

We would like to thank all of those individuals who purchased hamburger meal tickets and raffle tickets. The proceeds will be used to help our athletic programs and the cheerleading program. Winners of the raffle prizes are:

Also thank you to the athletes and cheerleaders who sold the tickets, made plates, and sold tickets that day. A special thank you to the dads who cooked the burgers, the moms who helped cut vegetables and worked and the cheerleading sponsors who helped organize the event.
