Kokanee Power is a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to the CA fisheries enhancement. on July 1, 1998.

Kokanee Power is a 501(c)3 Non-profit Corporation (Federal Employer Identification No. 77-0486825). We submitted Articles of Incorporation under the laws of California as the "Central California Inland Fisheries, Kokanee and Salmon Foundation, Inc." We are incorporated for the specific purpose of conducting educational, research, and enhancement activities regarding California Sport Fisheries. Our

efforts focus on the Kokanee and Chinook Salmon programs in the inland waters of California. Our primary program is assisting the CDFG in their ongoing efforts to maintain viable populations of these fish in public waters. We also offer cooperation and support to other private and public organizations with similar goals, strive to encourage public awareness and support for Kokanee and Chinook Salmon Fisheries, and promote fishing as a family activity.

Here are the AOY (Angler of the year) standings for Adults and Jrs. Looks like it is coming down to the last derby at Shaver for those looking towards a top 5 finish.

Here are the Period 3 Winners for the Stampede Kokanee Research Project. It wa a short window designed around the derby week. We received 135 entries from anglers and in addition the DFW collected 34 entries on. KP boat. The DFW also measured and recorded all fish from the derby weigh-in. In the end a few adipose fin clipped fish were collected in the mix.

Here the link to the Stampede Team Kokanee derby results. There were 80+ participants and a record junior turnout that saw lots of fish catching action. As expected It was a game of numbers with many fish were caught, but all less than 11 inches and many weights were separated by hundredths of a pound. Overall it was nice to have some 45 degree mornings and late night campfires among the Kokanee addict collective. Next up is Shaver, September 12th, where the fish will be on the other end of the size spectrum.

The blind bogey is determined by taking the average of the weight total highest score and the lowest score for the 3-Kokanee weigh in. Here are the results:

Update: A newer version of the Adults version was posted below. Jethro and Miss Hathaway have ciphered the current AOY standings through Don Pedro, top 20 for Adults. Two more derbies left and it's a tight race for the top five. If you have any questions or see any errors just let us know as it takes an AI Data center to keep it all straight. :-)
