Well, here we go...

10/23/2026

It has been quite a while since I last posted an update on spays/neuters. So much has happened in my family, but we are still working. AAATAR has transported and either spayed or neutered over two hundred cats and six dogs since my last post. Two hundred plus!!! Just imagine the lives we saved.

The sanctuary has grown by over fifteen more cats and our need for food donations continues to grow. I am attempting to trap four adult strays and five kittens at the DG at Hwy 56 and 290. The employees are hostile to their presence and it is a difficult trapping situation.

All six of the kittens were trapped and placed from the Jackson Mart thanks to Amy C. taking five of them.

There are still at least three adults and kittens somewhere - unknown how many at this time - with only one being trapped and placed at StaLo Market. The need for help with trapping is great. The need for moral support is great. If you can put in a good word for rescuers at these local merchants it would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to stop the problem at its very source.

Again, food donations are extremely helpful as our grants do NOT cover this. They cover spay/neuter only. Food and vet bills come from my husband and myself.

If you're waiting on an appointment for your kitty, please be patient as appointments are hard to come by and we are into December now. Please text and call back until you get one, if you can wait. I am one person and doing all I can. As many of you know, my husband is battling two types of cancer and he fell and broke his next three weeks ago. He can't drive until 12/02/26. So, life is complicated, right?

Just keep fighting for the animals. Just keep being kind and helpful to all of them in need. And thank you to all of you who have helped in so many ways. Feed the strays and provide them water. Save a life, PLEASE.

Abuse = jail time.

People who abandon or abuse animals should not get away with just a small punishment 😢🦝

An animal does not understand why it was suddenly left alone.
It waits, it freezes, it feels scared, and still keeps hoping that the person it trusted will come back 💔

Raccoons, dogs, cats, and other animals are not objects that can simply be thrown away when life becomes difficult.
They feel fear, pain, hunger, and loneliness just like any living being.

Anyone who hurts a helpless animal should understand that society should never accept cruelty ⚖️❤️

Animals need protection, compassion, and people willing to speak for them when they have no voice of their own.

If you agree, please share this message and stand up for animals everywhere
