Freemasonry is a society of men whom are dedicated to the upbringing of moral character and the preservation of personal freedom of all its members. We are NOT by any means a cult, fanatic group or any type of religon. However, each member must express a belief in GOD, and is done so without any reguard to whichever religious denomination you may belong to. Throughout the United States there

are approximatly 2.5 Million Masons. Masons are taught that they should never neglect their families or their church. Masonry comes after these obligations are fulfilled. Masons are taught to obey the laws of the country in which they reside. In the United States, the Masons have many patriotic activities. All meetings include the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. We are an organization that promotes free-thinking for all mankind. Many notible people in Tennessee have been masons. These include: Andrew Jackson, James Polk, Andrew Johnson, Roy Acuff, 28 Governors, and many members of Congress.

This weekend on Sunday is our annual cruise to raise money for the Cowan Norman Memorial Christmas Party every penny raised goes to kids in our community for a Christmas they might not receive otherwise we at Tannehill lodge no.133 appreciate all the help and support we receive to provide for kids so bring out your motorcycle your classic cars your jeeps your regular daily driver or anything with wheels and come spend the day with us and help for a great cause

Brother's of Tannehill Lodge I regret to inform you that Brother Jimmy Frizzell has laid down his working tools and has entered the celestial Lodge above. We will have his Masonic Service Wednesday May 17th at 7pm in the chapel of Anderson Uppercumberland Funeral Home. Please all that can attend do so as this is the last thing we can do for Our departed Brother. We will meet in the side room at the Funeral home at 630 pm with the service to follow at 7pm.

A sculpture commemorating seven Freemasons who created a Masonic lodge while imprisoned in a N**i concentration camp.

The lodge was named Liberté chérie, which means cherished liberty. The lodge was created on November 15th, 1943, and located in Esterwegen, Lower Saxony, Germany. The seven Freemasons who created the lodge are:

Paul Hanson, Luc Somerhausen, Jean Sugg, Franz Rochat, Guy Hannecart, Amédée Miclotte, and Degueldre.
