Lois Ellyn Studio Home of Nouveau Chamber Ballet Founded in 1988 by Lois Ellyn, Nouveau Chamber Ballet enriches the community through performances and education.

Its repertoire includes classical, contemporary, and original works. The Lois Ellyn Ballet Studio offers quality training for all ages. Since its founding in 1988, Nouveau Chamber Ballet has been enriching the community through performances and education in the arts. The company's diverse repertoire encompasses classical ballet, contemporary dance and original works. Through these works, aspiring

dancers, choreographers, musicians and designers receive invaluable theater experience and the community enjoys first class performances that are the result of their efforts. As a non-profit organization, Nouveau Chamber Ballet participates in cultural education programs throughout the community. The company regularly performs for school children in the Orange County area. Also, the “Sponsor a School” program enables young children the opportunity to attend The Nutcracker ballet performance each December. Nouveau Chamber Ballet has an adjunct ballet school, which offers a full range of classes, from pre-ballet to professional level, for students of all ages. The staff, led by Artistic Director Sheree King, has years of teaching and performing experience and are committed to providing the highest caliber of dance instruction.

This summer, step into the Nutcracker in July! This workshop is designed to prepare dancers for Nouveau Chamber Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker.” Students will learn choreography that will be taught at auditions.

Step into the world of storytelling through movement with Tom Bozigian’s Folk & Character Masterclass at Lois Ellyn Ballet Studio on June 20th from 11:45 am to 1:30 pm.

Character dance builds versatile performers by developing expressive storytelling, complex musicality, and strong partnering skills. Based on stylized European and Middle Eastern folk traditions, this foundational training brings authenticity to classical ballets like Swan Lake and Don Quixote

Join us this summer for four days of ballet training and fun at our Summer Ballet Intensive for dancers ages 7 - 12.

July 27th - 30th
1:00 pm - 3:15 pm
$125 for all 4 days

Each day includes:

A ballet technique class

Ballet-related enrichment activities, such as ballet history and bun-making tutorials, and more!

A second class focused on either strength training, artistry, flexibility, or choreography

This intensive is designed to help dancers strengthen their technique, build confidence, and explore different aspects of ballet in a supportive and engaging environment.

This is the perfect way to help your dancer take the next step in their ballet journey. This program offers a well-rounded experience that combines education, movement, and creativity.

We encourage families to register early to reserve their spot. We need a minimum of 8 dancers signed up to do this program!
