Maria* came to our Domestic Abuse Support Group carrying a year’s worth of pain she never asked for.

She kept showing up — even when it was hard. And with the love and support of this community, she found the courage to stand in court and tell the truth.

He was convicted. She was protected. And then she did something extraordinary.
She became a police officer. 🧡

This is why we do this work. And it only happens because of donors who believe survivors deserve more than survival — they deserve a future.

This year, 15 young adults found stable housing and 9 children came home to safety — because someone decided to show up for them.

United Kids served 84 children this year — giving them 20,000+ hours of after-school programming built on trust, play, and healing.

Big thanks to Chapman University School of Pharmacy for their generous donation of 57 Nerf guns to our United Kids & Teens program! 🎉

These will be put to great use at our upcoming 6th Grade Nerf Night—giving our incoming students their first taste of our middle school program—and as gifts for our junior high and high school students at our awards ceremonies.

We’re so grateful for partners like Michelle Kim and the pharmacy sorority for investing in our youth in such a fun and meaningful way! 💛
