When Maya* moved into THRIVE housing this spring, she had one goal: to get her driver’s license.

She works at Disney, often finishing late at night. Every shift means a bus ride or an Uber alone in the dark. She didn’t just WANT a car. She needed one.

So we made it a priority. Study sessions, DMV trips, budgeting meetings, and a whole lot of encouragement even when she felt like giving up.

She got her permit. She passed her driving exam. And shortly after — she drove herself to work for the first time in her own car. 🚗🧡

Watching her work that hard for something she always wanted and being there to push and encourage her every step of the way has been an honor.

What a weekend! 🙌

We are so grateful to be part of THE SEND | A Worship and Missions Gathering and to spend time connecting with incredible, missional people throughout the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared your story, asked questions, and took the time to learn more about OC United.

Every conversation reminded us why we do what we do—to see people drawn out of isolation and into healing community, hope, and purpose. 🧡

Last week we wrapped up SOLful — our three week free summer day camp in partnership with the Fullerton School District. This year was a blast and our theme was Hope. 🧡

One week we focused specifically on hope for our families, so we invited parents to come and participate in program alongside their kids.

We built a little living room on campus, filled a photo wall with family photos, and spent the morning side by side — parents and kids learning and creating together.

This summer, 300 kids are spending their days learning, creating, and dreaming big at SOLful!

SOLful is OC United — Together ’s annual free summer day camp, in partnership with the Fullerton School District, and this year’s theme says it all: “Summer of Hope: Dreams We Build Towards.”
