Next we would like to introduce our office administrator!
Ada Marie is used to wearing many hats, both figuratively and literally. She comes with 25 years of office experience ranging from accounting, scheduling, estimating, contracts, design work, general support and etc.
She loves researching and learning, especially about all things natural and healthy ranging from gardening, preserving, fresh ground whole grain sourdough, and making her own skincare. She has a strong belief that God created us as a whole being: body, mind, soul, and spirit and that when one area is unhealthy every aspect is affected. Jesus and deep relationships are the very core of what she needs to survive.
She loves reading, music, history, mountains, bodies of water, and traveling rurally. She stays as far away from big cities in her travels as possible.
And finally, she loves to collect and wear hats of all types!
She was introduced to the ranch by a dear friend and cousin who new her heart for hearting women and children. She felt called to be a part of our ministry from the first visit to the ranch. Join us in thanking the Lord for bringing her to our team!

Psalms 65:8 - 9. "The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly.

The next person we would like to introduce is arguably the most important staff role on the ranch - our cook!
Mim Weaver comes to us from Mercersburg PA where her parents and 6 siblings live on a 22,000 bird turkey farm. In 2024 - 2025, Mim served in the kitchen at Faith Builders. She was introduced to the ranch by a friend and felt the Lord's calling to serve at the ranch. She says the kitchen is her happy place and she loves creating dishes for friends to enjoy.

Mim shares that a life verse for her is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

Please join us in thanking the Lord for bringing her to the ranch!

2 Samuel 22:2-23 "He said: the Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. My shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge and my Savior, you save me from violence.

We are excited and honored by all the support and enthusiasm that's been shared with Refuge Mountain Thrift Store by the community! Quite honestly, you all have been so generous with your donations that it's taking us longer than expected to get everything sorted and organized 😅. We appreciate your patience as we work to open as soon as possible. Please follow our page for updates!

As we are assembling our staff team, we would like to begin introducing them!
First up is our Equine Director and interim Program Director Bree Bryant . Bree comes from Lancaster County Pennsylvania, where she served as the Equine Supervisor for Meadows of Hope from their start in 2013 and as the Horse Training Coordinator for Green Meadow Farm since 2019. In 2020, she also founded Still Waters Equine Consulting as a way to offer support and coaching to other ministries that partner horses with hurting people. Bree is certified as an Equine Professional through the Natural Lifemanship Institute and as a Trauma-Informed Life Coach with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
She originally connected with Refuge Mountain Ranch as a consultant but the Lord had other plans! He closed a door on a previous commitment, opening the door for Bree to come on as full-time staff. She brings experience in equine programming, relational coaching and staff development. She will also help us with our wilderness trip program. Bree moved onto the ranch in the summer of 2025, along with her husband Derek, their 2 children, 3 dogs, 2 horses, and a donkey.

Today is one of those days that reminds us we're not doing this alone!
A big thank you to Keystone Lime Company for stepping in and partnering with us. As we move closer to opening our doors for girls, we know this mission is bigger than any one of us and it takes people who are willing to believe in it.
Today, they laid over 4,000 feet of pavement here at the ranch, repairing old roads and helping us in a big way. We feel incredibly blessed and grateful.

To Keystone Lime and all the local partners who have come along beside us- Thank you!
God is doing something special here, and together we can do far more than we ever could alone.

Psalm 51:7-10
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
