Calling all Friendswood businesses and HOAs! 🏡🌸

Keep Friendswood Beautiful (KFB) is excited to announce that applications are now open for our 2026–2027 Matching Grant Incentive Program! If you've been thinking about refreshing your landscaping, enhancing a neighborhood entrance, or beautifying a shared space, this is your opportunity to bring those ideas to life!

💰 How does it work?
KFB offers reimbursement of up to $2,000 for eligible beautification projects! Applicants provide a matching contribution through funds or in-kind support, such as volunteer labor, donated materials, or services.

🌼 Why participate?
From colorful landscaping to welcoming neighborhood entrances, these projects make a lasting difference in our community. We're excited to partner with you to make Friendswood an even more beautiful place to live, work, and visit!

📢 Fall Haul is right around the corner! 🍁

Join us on Saturday, November 14, from 8 AM to 1 PM at Centennial Park (2200 S. Friendswood Dr.) for Friendswood’s annual Fall Haul event! Clear out the clutter and bring your unwanted tree limbs, old appliances, furniture, electronics, and more for convenient disposal. (Hazardous materials are not accepted.)

♻️ E-Recycling!
Don’t let your old electronics collect dust! Bring them to Fall Haul for proper e-recycling provided by Free Haul Off. From computers and phones to other electronic devices, help keep harmful materials out of landfills by recycling responsibly!

🚫 Please note: CRT (old tube-style) and DLP (projection-style) televisions are classified as hazardous materials and will NOT be accepted.

🌟📄 Paper Shredding:
From 8 AM to 12 PM (or until the truck is full), residents can bring up to 200 pounds of paper per vehicle for secure shredding. Please remember: No 3-ring binders, hanging file folders, or media like videotapes.

🏷️ KFB Garage Sale Donations:
Give your gently used items a second life! Donate furniture, household items, and bicycles (no clothing, please) to the Keep Friendswood Beautiful Garage Sale by 12 PM. Proceeds support the beautification of Friendswood’s parks and facilities, while donated items may also benefit local organizations in need.

📌 This event is for Friendswood residents only. Proof of residency is required.

💊 Medication take back is coming up on October 24, 2026.

The event will take place at the Friendswood ISD Annex located at 📍402 Laurel Drive, from 10 AM – 2 PM. Residents can participate in the by driving through the drop-off site where law enforcement will take medications for proper off-site disposal.

All unused, expired prescription, over-the-counter medications, and pet medications are accepted. NO SHARPS.💉

🦋 We had a fluttery good time helping out at the Friendswood Library’s story time!

We learned all about the Monarch butterfly and why these beautiful pollinators are so important. Thanks to the Library for letting Keep Friendswood Beautiful be part of the fun! 🌼

🌧️ BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP! 🌱

Our last Rain Barrel Workshop was such a success that we’re bringing it back! Join Keep Friendswood Beautiful and the Galveston Bay Foundation on October 3 to learn how you can conserve water, reduce runoff, and put rainwater to good use in your own backyard!

Rain barrels collect and store rainwater from your roof, giving you a FREE source of water for your lawn, garden, and landscaping. It's a simple way to save money, conserve water, and help protect our environment! 💧

🌱🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ What a great time last weekend at the Figgy Youth Triathlon!

Keep Friendswood Beautiful loved being part of the fun and cheering on all of the young athletes as they swam, biked, and ran their way to the finish line!

After the race, KFB hosted a hands-on seed activity where participants could slow down, get their hands a little dirty, and learn more about growing plants and caring for our environment. 🌱

We’re proud to support events that encourage healthy kids, outdoor activity, and a love for the community around them. Way to go, racers! 💚
