As US Open 2026 comes to a close, we want to celebrate Rajeev Ram who is a founding member of AAPITA. We Thank You, Rajeev. Seeing someone who looked like us, who carried our community’s quiet resilience, take the global stage and make it his own meant everything.

Representation wasn’t just about seeing faces on a screen. It was about watching you compete on tour and outsmart opponents with pure tennis IQ, and lift Grand Slam trophies and an Olympic medal while staying grounded in who you are.

You proved we belong in spaces where we rarely saw ourselves before, paving a smoother road for every Asian and South Asian American kid picking up a racquet today. Your legacy goes far beyond the trophies or the No. 1 ranking; it’s woven into the pride you gave all of us every time you stepped onto the court.

You made us endlessly proud. Cheers to your next chapter, and everywhere it takes you. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

🎾 US Open 2026 is well underway! We’d like to share some fun memories from Fan Week. It all kicked off with a festive Lion Dance which is something we always look forward to. The festivities that day also included amazing cultural dances and an AAPI-themed red ball event. Our deepest gratitude to our friends at USTA Eastern for helping many kids learn and enjoy tennis at that event. It was also awesome see some of the AAPI past college tennis players hanging out at the Open. Hope all of you are enjoying USO 2026 so far! 📸 USTA, USTA Eastern
