Fall Fest TODAY!! 11-3
Downtown Franklin KY
Fun for every age!!

10/22/2026

It’s an adult spelling bee with nonsense words and PRIZES at Fall Fest! There’s no pressure b/c if you spell a word wrong…it’s a made up word anyway! It’s so fun and funny!

And thanks to Hear KY the first place winner gets a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card and in second place gets $75!

Scan the QR code if you want to pre register!

Think you can spell a word you’ve never seen before? Good, because none of these words are real!

Join South Central Literacy Council at Fall Fest on October 24 for our Adult Nonsense Word Spelling Bee, sponsored by Dr. Ryan Broyles with Hear Kentucky.

Contestants will use the sounds they hear to spell completely made-up words. It’s fun, a little ridiculous, and based on a very real literacy skill: decoding unfamiliar words.

🏆 Prizes for 1st and 2nd place!
🐝 Spelling Bee takes place before the Cheesecake Chomp.

Come see how well you can spell when knowing the word won’t help you!
