Earlier this month we celebrated our 103rd Jubiläum Bauernball! We love to show our dancing with all who come. We are proud of our traditions that we’ve upheld for 103 years!

Yesterday we enjoyed the evening at St. Pius Knights of Columbus! There was face painting for kids, great food and even a Masskrugstammen contest! It was a wonderful family friendly event!

Enjoy a wonderful evening of dancing, Schuhplattler performances (adult and children groups) and music by  Also included is a delicious buffet meal plus unlimited beer, wine and soda followed by coffee and cake. Take a chance on winning prizes from our Auction Raffle.

Doors open at 6:00pm, buffet begins at 6:15pm and music starts at 7:00pm.

Music will be provided by The Spitzbuam Band and will start at 7:00pm.

Last but certainly not least, we were at St. Peter the Apostle in Islip Terrace! We always have a great time with music by Bud and Linda! 🇩🇪

Our third (but not final location!) of celebrating Oktoberfest’s last night was at the Seaford Knights of Columbus. Delicious eats from and music from kept the party rocking! 🇩🇪 Our dancers even learned a new dance…the Alley Cat!

On Saturday, September 6th we honored Alice Kokasch with her 50 year membership pin. Alice has been a member of Original Enzian for 50+ years and was 2nd Vice-President for 23 consecutive years, from 1978-2000. Alice has also been an Ehrenmitglied of Original Enzian since 1995. Congratulations, Alice!

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our member Walter Golser earlier this month. In 2018, Walter received Ehrenmitglied status for his contributions to Original Enzian. For many years, Walter was the accordion player for our Kindergruppe, hardly ever missing practice and always playing with passion and ease. Please keep the Golser family in your continued thoughts and prayers.
