Our boxes have arrived, and we're ready to fill them! 🥫🛒

We're excited to announce that Rescuing Families Thrift N' Vintage Boutique is an official food donation drop-off location for Long Island Cares!

📅 October 26 – November 30

With food costs continuing to rise, more of our Long Island neighbors are struggling to put meals on the table. This holiday season, we're asking our community to come together and help make a difference.

🥫 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Bring non-perishable food donations to our boutique! Canned vegetables, pasta, rice, stuffing, gravy, shelf-stable milk, and other pantry staples are greatly appreciated.

For 10 years, we've been helping Long Island families with disabilities by transforming homes, creating accessibility, and restoring hope.

Sometimes independence starts with something as simple as a path. ❤️

For Douglas Reyes, who uses a wheelchair, and his dad, who is living with Parkinson’s, safely moving around their own home matters.

That’s why we are incredibly grateful to Drexler Corp and their amazing crew for stepping up for the Reyes Family Project in Valley Stream, NY.

Their team installed a brand-new, wider concrete walkway connecting the rear driveway to the front walkway—creating a safer, more accessible path around the home and giving Douglas and his dad greater independence in their everyday lives.

THIS is what accessibility looks like.

It’s removing barriers. It’s creating safer homes. It’s giving people with disabilities greater freedom and independence where they should have it most—in their own home.

Thank you, Drexler Corp, for donating your time, talent and hard work to help us make another part of the Reyes home accessible. We couldn’t do projects like this without companies and crews willing to step up alongside us. ❤️

We’re excited to introduce our second Season One Spotlight Nonprofit: Rescuing Families, Inc., the organization behind Family to the Rescue on PBS! ❤️🏡

At Recovery Unfiltered with Nick and Will, we’ve had the privilege of meeting people who put their hearts into helping others.

Our Season One Spotlight gives us a chance to share their work and invite our listeners to give back with us. Alongside Dignity Suds & Duds, we’re proud to spotlight Rescuing Families, Inc., whose team joined us during season one.

Gina Cantone-Centauro, Vincent Centauro, Roger Gp (Roger Grand Pierre) and their team renovate homes for people facing disabilities and financial hardship, including veterans. They help make homes safe, accessible, and functional, donating their labor and relying on donations and sponsorships for the materials needed to get the work done.

Think about what it means to be able to get into your own home safely, use your bathroom, or finally bring a loved one home after months or years in a care facility. These changes affect everyday life for the whole family, and the care behind every project is exactly why we want you to know about them.

If you’re able, join us in supporting their mission with a $10 donation, or whatever amount works for you.
