We are thankful to Asbury Christian Fellowship for providing a space for our dementia respite program! We are also grateful that they are hosting a fundraiser for our program.

Get your tickets for a BBQ lunch that will be served on June 14th! Day-break will be open for tours that day, too.

The Friends at Day-break truly enjoy doing things for the community. For Police Week, they put notes on Cheeze-Its to be delivered to law enforcement departments throughout the county. Thank you to those who keep our community safe!

Reminder that Day-break will hold its monthly dementia education session tonight at 5:30 at Asbury Christian Fellowship in Fort Payne, Alabama. The session is free, but we ask you to register by calling 256-979-1700.

Tonight's session is on Communicating Effectively. The Alzheimer's Association: Alabama Chapter will teach how dementia affects communication, including tips
for communicating well with family, friends and
health care professionals.

Please join us for our caregiver education series this Thursday, April 9th at 5:30 p.m.

Lydia Weeks will share information about Alabama Cares, a program that provides financial assistance, training, counseling and more to caregivers. This is a must attend event for caregivers!

Thank you to Landmarks of DeKalb County, Alabama Inc. for donating these books to Day-break. We use these books to reminisce with our Friends about their school days, which leads to some interesting stories!

Does your church or school have plastic Easter eggs that need to be assembled for your Easter egg hunt? The Friends at Day-break enjoy community service, and, in particular, they enjoy doing things for children. If you have Easter eggs that need to be assembled, we would love to help you!
