Texas Values & Policy Alignment Test

Instructions: For each issue below, select the statement (A or B that most closely reflects your personal belief. Keep track of how many "A" and "B" responses you choose.

1. Immigration & Status

A: Birthright citizenship should be ended, and programs like the H1B visa and Diversity Lottery should be repealed or strictly limited.

B: Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right that must be upheld, and high-skilled visa programs (H1B) should be expanded to support the economy.

2. Public Education

A: Taxpayer money should follow the student via "school choice" vouchers, and public schools should be required to display the Ten Commandments and teach the Bible.

B: Public funds should stay in public schools, and schools should remain religiously neutral to respect students of all faiths (Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, etc.).

3. Higher Education

A: Texas public universities should cap the number of international students at 5% to prioritize domestic students.
B: International students are a vital part of our talent pool and should have continued access to student visas and Texas universities.

4. Healthcare Access

A: The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed immediately, and abortion should be banned from the moment of fertilization.

B: Medicaid should be expanded, the ACA should be protected for small business owners, and reproductive healthcare should be a personal choice.

5. Local Democracy & Voting

A: Statewide officials should be elected via a county-level "electoral college" (giving more power to rural areas), and the 1965 Voting Rights Act should be repealed.

B: The popular vote should determine statewide winners, and the Voting Rights Act should be enforced to ensure language access for all voters.

6. Property & Safety

A: Real estate sales should be restricted to U.S. citizens only (limiting permanent residents), and gun-free zones should be eliminated.

B: All legal residents should have the right to buy property regardless of citizenship, and local communities should be allowed to regulate high-capacity weapons.
