Sparkle Squad Volunteers Wanted ✨

Happy Fall-Back Sunday! Enjoy your extra hour today. Down the road, we’d love for you to share an hour or two with the cats.

Bonk is supervising. Oliver, our current leader of the big room, is critiquing. Krystle, one of our valued Sparkle Crew, is cleaning right through it like the pro she is.

Sparkle Crew volunteers keep our PetSmart Forest Lake Adoption Center clean, neat and tidy, which is very much needed for the health of our cats and kittens. Days and times are extremely flexible.

TGIF from Oliver! 🐈 He’s powering up for the Halloween weekend, which in his case means a very serious nap.

He’s the quiet, steady type. Not a lap cat, but he’ll settle in right beside you and stay put. He doesn’t demand attention, he just likes being in the same room as his people, and once he trusts you, that easy companionship is the whole point.

At 6 1/2, he’s well past the rowdy phase and knows exactly who he is. He can go to a home with other cats too.

Happy Tails from St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue 🐾

Moggie (brown tabby w/ white) was a foster cat who ended up staying for good. Her foster family adopted her a couple of months ago, and Moggie has already found a new calling in her forever home.

There are foster kittens in the house now, and Moggie is giving them TLC. Her foster mom says she’s patient and snuggly with every one of them, and the kittens get a gentle big sister to curl up with while they grow.

Moggie knows what a foster home can do for a cat, and we always need more of them. Young litters, nursing moms, shy teens, and senior cats all need a soft place to land for a while. Apply to foster at stfrananimal.org.

Chuck & Don’s in Mahtomedi, and these two have a message for you: “HI! Take us home!” 🐾 (sound up)

Marigold and Rhodes spotted their foster dad and completely lost it. All the excitement, all the hellos, and every effort to get out of that kennel and into his arms. Imagine that kind of welcome waiting for you at home.

Both are playful, friendly, and super sweet. Rhodes is your glitter ball chaser, and Marigold is the talker — both with a beautiful purr.

Netflix and Chill are officially available. 🍿

These two brothers are now hanging out at Chuck and Don’s in Blaine, waiting for their people. No subscription needed, no ads, and the whole family is welcome. Both boys are good with cats, dogs, and kids.

Netflix is the sweet, playful troublemaker who loves kitty toys and making friends. Chill is the curious little chaos machine who investigates anything that moves, rolls, or wiggles. (He probably started it, whatever it was.)

National Adoption Week brought people out to our Meet & Greet yesterday, and it paid off. Four cats found their families, and more applications came in for others. 🎉

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a post, filled out an application, or opened your home. Thank you to our volunteers and foster families too. Every happy ending starts with people showing up for the cats.

Meet Hemi, our friendly, easygoing, extra toed charmer. 🐾

It’s National Adoption Week, and Hemi is attending our Meet & Greet today (11-2) at PetSmart Forest Lake, along with lots of other adoptable cats and kittens.

Hemi is polydactyl, so his paws are even cuter than average. His foster mom calls him her butterball, and it fits. He loves people, loves to play, and gets along with cats and kids. He came to us through a trap, neuter, return program, but he was far too friendly to go back outside. He wants to be someone’s indoor family cat.

Lap time with Hermione, and she’s earned every minute. 🐾

Since her kittens were adopted, she’s become a part time lap cat who loves a cozy sit. She might take months to warm up, and she’s worth it.

It’s National Adoption Week, and Hermione is hoping for a calm home with adults who will give a shy girl a real shot. 🐈
