(LCI) is a Wisconsin-based managed care organization (MCO) providing long-term care services and supports to eligible frail elders and individuals with physical and intellectual/developmental disabilities through Wisconsin’s Family Care program. We are proud to celebrate Sarah, who was recently crowned Miss Amazing of Wisconsin. 👑

Sarah’s journey is a powerful example of confidence, growth and self-advocacy. With the support of her Care Team, she has built strong self-esteem and independence. She lives in her own apartment, keeps it clean and organized, and hosts game nights where she prepares meals for her friends.

She is also active in her community, participating in groups such as Lady of Lourdes, the YMCA and You Belong. Sarah continues to grow in her ability to advocate for herself by expressing her needs and wants, and she has built a stronger relationship with her Lakeland Care team.

Sarah reflects on her journey with confidence:
“I feel good about myself. I can go out into the community with my friends. I can live independently … and I can do better at advocating for myself.”

Sarah will represent Wisconsin at the Miss Amazing Nationals this July, and we could not be more excited to cheer her on!

At Lakeland Care, Inc., we are proud to have case manager Brittany represent our team at Bellin College’s ninth annual Gerontology Conference in Green Bay.

This year’s theme, “Full Circle of Aging: Uniting Multidisciplinary Voices for Better Care,” brought together health care professionals, educators and community partners to explore innovative, evidence-based approaches to supporting older adults.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in keynote sessions, panel discussions and hands-on workshops focused on advancing compassionate care and strengthening collaboration across disciplines.

We are proud to support continued learning and professional development, and we are grateful for leaders like Brittany who bring back new insights to enhance the care we provide every day.
