Adaptive Therapy / Hippotherapy / Veterans & First Responder Programs New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998. We are a the only PATH premier therapeutic equestrian center in the state of Louisiana. We are dedicated to positively impacting lives through our life changing equine therapy. We help people who have physical, cognitive, and emotional dif

ficulties reach their full potential. We serve a wide variety of groups and individuals in our community and beyond. Our facility is located on eight beautiful acres adjacent to Summergrove Polo Farms in Folsom, Louisiana. We also have access to 22 acres of wooded riding trails across from our property for our riders to enjoy. We have a fully handicap accessible facility with a covered arena and a 16 stall barn. Our arena is equipped with a wheelchair accessible ramp and a lift, which can hold up to 1,200 pounds to assist wheelchair bound clients to mount the horse. We operate with the help of our community, volunteers, and generous donors who support our mission every day. We invite you to schedule a tour our facility and get involved! ☀️ Louisiana summers are no joke—and our 7 horses feel it too 🥵

Unlike humans, horses can't cool themselves as efficiently. They rely on sweating and air movement to regulate their body temperature, making proper ventilation essential during the hottest months of the year. When temperatures and humidity soar, fans help increase airflow, support healthy cooling, and keep our horses more comfortable during the day.

We're raising funds to purchase new fans for each of our horses and their living spaces to help them beat the summer heat.

What are Equine-Assisted Services (EAS)?
Equine-Assisted Services encompass a variety of programs that intentionally partner people with horses to support growth, learning, health, and well-being.

At New Heights Therapy, our horses help participants develop physical strength, emotional resilience, confidence, communication skills, and independence.

Every interaction—from grooming to riding to simply connecting with a horse—creates opportunities for meaningful progress.

During the 2026 Regular Session, Senator Patrick McMath strongly advocated for our organization and played a key role in bringing these funds home.
