That’s the conversation we’re having next Thursday during “Get Loud About Where You Live” with Kiley Miller.
Kiley will explore how storytelling and local pride can help communities build momentum, attract investment, inspire volunteerism, and create a stronger sense of belonging.
And then we’ll see what that looks like in real life.
We’ll hear from four communities in our region that saw an opportunity and decided to act:
🌳 Williamsburg is creating a trail connection that will help reconnect more than 200 senior living residents to the broader community.
🏙️ Ackley is turning a long-standing downtown blight issue into an opportunity for future redevelopment.
🏠 Mason City is tackling workforce housing while helping train the next generation of skilled trades workers.
🌊 Estherville is transforming its riverfront into a destination for recreation, tourism, accessibility, and community connection.
These projects are different. Their communities are different. But their stories have a lot in common…they started with people who cared about where they lived.
