*ANNOUNCEMENT*

Hey church!

As you may recall, Pastor Paul made the habit of taking a prayer walk along the concrete road on the west side of Floyd. Each time he did, he would pause and pray for the town and the church.

Beka, and the Phillips family, have recently posted videos of our dear Pastor praying over our town with his hands raised. 

In this season, prayer has risen as a reoccurring theme- as Pastor Paul’s need is a constant reminder to pray, and in both Sunday and Wednesday services we have been called upon to do just that.

Tomorrow during our main service, after the worship portion of the service, we are going to take that same prayer walk along the concrete path in Paul’s stead. We will pray both for our Pastor, and for the town and church.

I encourage you to wear shoes/clothes appropriate for the short walk. We will have several options for people to ride along, who are unable, or do not wish to take the walk.

Please be in prayer and faith for our Pastor and the prayer walk tomorrow.🙏🙏🙏

From our Pastor’s Wife, Dixie:

Our family was thinking a lot about “faith and fear” today.

I read today that faith and fear both believe in something we cannot see, but we get to choose which one we believe.

Today was an especially rough day. Paul had emergency surgery today and is now resting comfortably in the ICU. To be honest, our family wrestled with fear throughout his surgery. There were moments when the “what ifs” were loud.

We heard fear clamor, “What if things get worse?”

And then faith would respond, “Even if they do, God will still be with us.”

And with us …….HE IS.

A second surgery and another ICU stay isn’t the direction we had hoped for. This isn’t the straight-line journey we had envisioned. There have been twists and turns, setbacks, and moments when we simply didn’t know what the next step would be. But tonight, we know this:

God is still here.
God is still good.
God is still faithful.
And God loves Paul Franklin Phillips even more than we do—and that’s a whole lot of love.

So tonight, we choose faith over fear.

Please keep praying for Paul.
