Duane H. Tolen Sr. Foundation × American Water Charitable Foundation & Missouri American Water

We are honored and grateful to announce that the Duane H. Tolen Sr. Foundation has been selected to receive a State Strategic Impact Grant from the American Water Charitable Foundation through the support of Missouri American Water and the Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program.

This partnership is more than a grant—it is an investment in the youth and families we serve through mentorship, mental health support, educational enrichment, leadership development, and community engagement opportunities.

The support from the American Water Charitable Foundation and Missouri American Water will help us continue creating meaningful experiences that empower our young people to dream bigger, achieve more, and reach their full potential.

The Duane H. Tolen Sr. Foundation would like to thank every student who applied for our 2026 Scholarship Program. We were honored to receive applications from so many outstanding young people who are preparing to take the next step in their educational journey.

Your hard work, determination, and commitment to your future do not go unnoticed. We applaud each of you for investing in yourselves and pursuing your goals.

Our scholarship committee is carefully reviewing all submissions, and the recipients will be announced on July 12, 2026, at our Legacy Lives On Benefit Concert.

💙A Weekend of Impact, Growth & Opportunity 💙

As our time at the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation Girls Who Rule the World Camp comes to an end, we are filled with gratitude for an experience that our Grace & Growth girls will never forget.

Over the past few days, our young ladies have connected with peers from across the country, participated in leadership activities, built confidence, and gained valuable life skills that will help shape their future. They were encouraged to dream bigger, think differently, and recognize the greatness that already exists within them.

This experience is exactly why the Duane H. Tolen Sr. Foundation was created—to provide exposure, opportunities, mentorship, and life-changing experiences for youth who may not otherwise have access to them.

We often say, “They have to see it before they believe it.” This weekend, our girls saw new possibilities, new friendships, and new opportunities. Most importantly, they saw that their future is limitless.

We are grateful to every donor, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter who continues to believe in our mission. Because of your support, our girls are experiencing opportunities that are helping them grow into confident, capable young leaders.

As we return home to St. Louis, we do so with full hearts, lasting memories, and a renewed commitment to investing in the next generation.

💙✈️ STL Is In The Building! ✈️💙

Today, our Grace & Growth girls are experiencing something many only dream about — the opportunity to attend the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation Girls Who Rule the World Camp in Atlanta, Georgia.

When the Duane H. Tolen Sr. Foundation was created, the vision was always bigger than mentoring sessions. It was about creating opportunities, opening doors, and exposing our youth to experiences that would help them see what is possible for their lives.

This weekend, our girls will connect with young ladies from across the country, learn from dynamic leaders, build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We often say, “They have to see it before they believe it.” Exposure changes perspectives, and perspectives can change lives.

Less than a year ago, Grace & Growth was just a vision fueled by faith, purpose, and a desire to honor Duane’s legacy through service. Today, our girls are traveling across the country because so many people believed in that vision and invested in their future.

Thank you to the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation for creating this incredible opportunity. Thank you to our supporters, donors, mentors, families, and community partners who continue to pour into our girls.

Most importantly, thank You, God. What started as pain has become purpose, and what started as a vision continues to impact lives.

Please keep our girls and leadership team lifted in prayer as they learn, grow, connect, and proudly represent St. Louis this weekend.
